Happy Birthday Miley Cyrus: Our Favourite Miley Fashion Moments!

Today, November 23rd, we celebrate the birthday of American singer, songwriter, actress, and philanthropist Miss. Miley Cyrus!

Since finding fame at the age of 12, on the hit Disney television series Hannah Montana, Miley has gone on to create an extraordinary career herself, achieving unprecedented levels of success, thanks in part to smash hit singles We Can’t Stop, Nothing Breaks Like A Heart and Wrecking Ball, and starring roles in films The Last Song, LOL and Hannah Montana: The Movie.

Known for her unique, bold sense of style and fearless fashion choices, Cyrus is a true visual artist who fully embraces all aspects of her art, using her wardrobe to make a statement, start a conversation and make a difference.

To commemorate Miley’s 27th year on earth, we here at Fuzzable are taking a look back over some of our favourite looks from one of pop cultures most controversial stars…

Bangerz Album Release Party, 2013

Looking crazy HOT in mauve-pink, Miley rocked this playful satin bra and mini skirt two-piece at the NYC release party for her fourth studio album Bangerz.

2012-2013 was a time of real transition and change in Miley’s life, as the former child star and teen idol took complete control of her art and image.

Fun and flirty, sexy, playful and cute this was Miley embracing her youth and owning her sexuality; relishing in her new found purpose and power!

The Met Gala, 2013

Wholeheartedly embracing the 2014 Met Gala theme ‘Punk: Chaos to Couture’ Miley rocked the red carpet in this see through, Marc Jacobs netted gown worn over a sheer body slip.

A blend of unbridled edge and sex appeal, with hair inspired by The Sex Pistols Miley showcased a modernised, feminized interpretation of Johnny Rotten and Sid Vicious’ piecey, dome-spanning, splayed out spikes and we LOVED it!

The VMAs, 2015

A pink inflatable House Of Holland spandex dress, a pig-snout bow headband and a pair of sky-high metallic heels – we can’t think of anything else to say about Miley’s 2015 VMA afterparty outfit other than… it’s MAJOR!

Billboard Magazine, 2017

Miley’s 2017 Billboard cover shoot saw the Can’t Be Tamed singer adopt a whole new look, showcasing a more earthy, stripped back, country inspired image in keeping with the visual aesthetic of her sixth studio album Younger Now.

Styled by Cyrus herself and shot on location at her home in Malibu by American commercial and fine-art photographer Brian Bowen Smith, Miley fully embraced her southern roots sporting a number of vintage pieces carefully selected from her now, infamous colour/fabric-coded, closet.

Showcasing a softer, more feminine, natural look – Miley was growing up and showing the world just who she was.

The Grammy Awards, 2018

Taking to the stage to perform a special duet with music icon Elton John at the 2018 Grammy Awards, was a real coming of age fashion moment for Miley, as she emerged from the shadows wearing this breathtaking off-the shoulder Zac Posen ballgown.

With its rich deep magenta bodice top and flowing ruffled dress made of a thousand layers of tulle, full of both red and pink undertones, this whole look screamed GLAMOUR winning Miss Cyrus a whole new legion of high fashion fans.

The Met Gala, 2018

Proving once and for all she was a fashion force to be reckoned with, Miley WOWED in Stella McCartney at the 2018 Met Gala.

With it’s plunging neckline and mermaid-style train, this dramatic black, halter top gown was the perfect fit for Cyrus toned, slender frame.

With minimal makeup and her hair tousled in gentle waves, Miley accessorised her dress with Sydney Evan custom hoops, a large cross, a pyramid spike cross charm, small cross studs, and a pave chain link ring and necklace

Edgy yet chic, and oh-so effortlessly stylish, we simply ADORE this gothic meets old Hollywood glamour look on Miley.

Vanity Fair, 2019

Photographed by famed photographer Ryan Mcginley, for the March 2019 issue of Vanity Fair, Miley  poses in a number of high fashion outfits from the likes of Celine, Valentino and Marc Jacobs on a sun-kissed beach setting in Miami, Florida.

Styled by Samira Nasr, with hair by Recine and makeup by James Kaliardos, Cyrus oozes confidence and an elegance not seen before in previous editorial shoots and we cannot get enough!

Isn’t It Romantic Premiere, 2019

Supporting her longtime beau Liam Hemsworth, at the premiere of his movie Isn’t It Romantic at The Theater at the Ace Hotel in Downtown Los Angeles, Miley shut the red carpet DOWN in this exquisite piece from Maison Valentino’s Pre-Fall 2109 collection.

With its tiered crimson ruffles and sweeping cape, worn with a sleek ponytail and matching red lip, the whole style and feel was a romantic modern day twist on the more traditional, classic Hollywood look that left the fashion world shook.

The Oscars: Vanity Fair Afterparty, 2019

In what was to sadly be one of their very last red carpet appearances together as a couple, Miley and her then new husband Chris Hemsworth looked all together resplendent as they attended the 2019 Vanity Fair Oscars afterparty.

Wearing a Saint Laurent by Anthony Vaccarello, black sequinned low-cut dress and Bvlgari jewels, Miley looked more fierce and more glamorous than she ever has before.

Glastonbury, 2019

Taking to the Pyramid Stage at the ICONIC Glastonbury festival earlier this year, Miley Cyrus made quite the fashion statement in her glossy leather pants, white cropped tank top and Bradley Kenneth vegan thigh-high boots.

As always Cyrus took her ensemble a step further with piles of accessories – including a mix of vintage gold link Galliano-era Dior ID-necklaces, Chanel pendants and double C chains, as well as a custom made Gucci belt with Glastonbury spelled out in studs.

Show-stopping, effortless and electrifying – this is hands down, one of our all time favourite Miley looks!
