JENNIFER LOPEZ AT 50: Our Favourite JLO Fashion Moments

ICON Jennifer Lopez turned 50 (!!) this week and to celebrate we are looking back at some of our most favourite EVER JLO fashion moments.

Truly one of the greatest style icons of our generation, Lopez is pioneer in fashion, forever pushing the boundaries of style, creating unique looks and setting trends that others are guaranteed to follow…

It may have been almost 20 years since Jennifer Lopez shocked the world by wearing this, now iconic, Versace gown to The Grammy Awards back in 2000, but it’s impact and influence is still just as powerful today as it was back then.

Provocative? Yes. Revealing? Yes. One of the greatest Grammy red carpet looks of all time? Most definitely.

As the recipient of the 2019 CFDA Fashion Icon Award, it was only right that all eyes were on Jennifer as she took to the pink carpet ahead of the evenings festivities wearing this orange two-piece crop top and skirt combo, custom designed by Ralph Lauren.

Bold, edgy, urban and current – yet still classic and still timeless – this was JLO on the cusp of entering her 50 year showing the world she was STILL that bxxch.

If you book Jennifer Lopez to be the host on one of the biggest nights in American music, it’s with guaranteed certainty that the ‘On The Floor’ singer will give you MAJOR fashion looks each time she steps onto the stage!

Dazzling audiences with over 10 different outfit changes throughout the course of the evening, this figure hugging DSquared2 bodysuit embroidered with sequins and rhinestones was our absolute favourite.

When you’re invited to attend the most prestigious event in the fashion calendar, you most certainly want to look your best – and will go above and beyond to pull out ALL the stops when it comes to perfecting your red carpet look, and that’s just what Jennifer did when she teamed up with Balmain for the 2018 Met Gala.

Wearing a gothic inspired gem encrusted gown, complete with long black feathered train and a large blue and red cross emblazoned across the chest, this risqué look was next level Lopez.

Throughout the course of her 20 year career as a recording artist, Jennifer has many a time worn different variations of the traditional dancers uniform – the catsuit.

From black latex to red rubber, nude body con to camouflage, this metallic, bejewelled number worn durning the opening of Lopez’s hugely Las Vegas Residency show ‘All I Have’ has to be her most iconic.

MTV TRL 2018

Never been one to follow or chase trends – Lopez has always been a risk taker when it comes to her style choices.

Ahead of her appearance on MTV’s TRL in New York City back in 2018, Jennifer looked FIERCE as she boldly wore this oversized button-down white shirt along with a mini Birkin bag and standout thigh-high denim boots (complete with their own belts!) Name us another artist who could pull off this look… we’ll wait…

Keeping it sexy, chic and simple – a young Jennifer attended the VH1 Vogue Fashion Awards back in 1999 wearing this long-sleeve sparkle dress complete with deep v cut and matching shiny pendant.

Attending the world premiere of her movie ‘Second Act’ in New York City last December, Jennifer ripped up the rule book and redefined red carpet fashion wearing this hot pink tulle gown by Giambattista Valli.

Some may say a little over the top and a tad too much… we say, there is no such thing as over the top or too much when it comes to high fashion couture and Jennifer Lopez! We say, more, more, more…

Arriving at the Vanity Fair Oscars After Party in 2019, Jennifer shut it DOWN wearing this strapless Zuhair Murad gown paired with sparkly heels and a matching black clutch.

With it’s combination black, purple, blue and green sequins and feathered accent across the bodice, JLO worked it out in front of the cameras, giving us classic old Hollywood glamour feels and a huge style moment.

Celebrating her 46th birthday at 1 Oak in Las Vegas, Jennifer’s take on the classic LBD was sophisticated, ultra sexy and perfectly tailored to fit her incredible body.

Teaming her Bao Tranchi dress, with Manolo Blahnik heels and a leather patent clutch, we are obsessed with this understated look.

THE MTV VMA’s 2014

Nobody quite does justice to the cut-out dress like Miss. Jennifer Lopez does, and at the close of summer 2014 gasps could be heard around the world as 45 year old Lopez hit the VMA’s red carpet in this silver Charbel Zoe number.

A fresh, updated take on a style we’d seen so many times before, this was a stand out moment for Jennifer, as she once again proved she still had what it takes to compete with the new batch of pop girls on the scene.
