For this weeks edition of “Fuzzable Talks Fashion!…” we caught up with Amel to talk FASHION, BEAUTY, STYLE INSPO and BODY CONFIDENCE!
How would you best describe your own personal style?
I would say my style is very versatile – you can catch me in a tracksuit and trainers one day, and the next day full on glam dress to the floor! I’m addicted to a bodycon dress always flatters the body, but also love experimenting putting outfits together.
Where do you look to find inspiration for outfits?
Instagram has it all – it’s like a lookbook. I’m always finding the latest trending looks and think to myself “right, I’m creating that look next week!”
What 3 items do you always carry with you in your bag?
Lipstick, phone charger, and my phone charger wire.
Can you tell us a secret makeup / beauty tip?
I love to put highlighter underneath my eyebrows as it pops on camera in photos (laughs).
Do you have a favourite red carpet look of yours from over the years?
It would have to say the outfit I wore at the BRIT Awards! I had a gorge long Blue dress with a silver neck piece; it was so classy and elegant and it even had a little trail… I felt like a princess! I definitely had to walk slow though, so that I didn’t trip over the trail (laughs).
What one style trend from the past do you most want to see make a comeback?
Shoulder handbags have come back into fashion, which I’m happy about because I just love them! I remember wearing them when I was younger – it’s funny how trends come back around!
Is there a particular era of fashion that you love / wish you’d been a part of?
The 70’s for sure! Flair trousers were a big thing back then and they’re definitely making a comeback now, so I can’t wait to flex more in some flair trousers – I love them and how they really compliment your figure!
Who is your all-time fashion icon?
JLO… she is unreal! Everything about her – the body, the shape, the curves, she’s amazing and I would definitely wear everything that she wears! One day I will meet her and get some JLO fashion tips for the red carpet over a brunch! She doesn’t age does she?! I hope I look like that at her age; I want to know what her secret is!
Which other celebrity’s wardrobe would you love to have free reign of?
Definitely Kim Kardashian as we have the same body shape, so I’m always looking to her for outfit inspo. I think me and Kim would have a great time hanging out together, talking fashion – I’d be in my element in her wardrobe and would definitely be in there all day taking pics!
What advice you would give to anybody not feeling so confident about themselves and how they look?
We all have days when we don’t feel our best, and can’t be bothered to make the effort but I honestly find that by putting a bit of makeup on, and doing my hair always changes my mood and lifts me up in a positive way. I’d also say don’t compare yourself to others, or believe everything you see on social media because it’s not real life. Remember to always focus on you and what makes you feel content and happy!
