With their summery fresh, anthemic sound, and growing reputation as being one of the most exciting must-see live acts on the scene right now – we are dedicating this months Fuzzable Artist Spotlight to one of our favourite new bands… Corella.
Who Are Corella?
Corella are Joel Smith (Vocals/Guitar), Ben Henderson (Vocals/Bass Guitar), Jack Taylor (Guitar) and James Fawcett (Drums).
How Did Corella Get Together?
Having moved away from their hometowns in their late teens, fate would lead three of the four lads to live together in the same university halls whilst studying at BIMM (British & Irish Modern Music Institute) in Manchester.
Instantly forming a close bond through their shared love of music, and following a chance meeting with guitarist Jack Taylor, the band was first formed in 2016.
Where You Might Have Heard Of Corella Before…
The powerhouse indie quartet have created quite a name for themselves over the past couple of years, with their refreshing alternative-pop/rock tracks and energetic live shows garnering support from the likes of BBC Introducing, ITV’s ‘This Morning‘, Manchester United FC, BBC Sport and Spotify – with recent singles ‘Bloom‘ and ‘Let On‘ both landing on the streaming services ‘New Music Friday‘ and ‘The Indie List‘ playlists.

What Is Corella’s Latest Single?
Produced by longtime collaborator Sugar House (Pale Waves, Viola Beach) ‘Dice‘ serves as bands latest single.
Powerful, euphoric and anthemic – the explosive track sees the band delve into new musical territory, adopting a heavier, darker undertone, resulting in a more mature, impassioned sound.
“Dice has been in the locker for quite a while.” the band say of the track.
“We’ve been playing it live and people always loved it, but we wanted it to be right on the release. The general vibe of Dice has always been the direction we wanted to step into, and we think we’ve pulled it off!”
