Vydia Raises $7M in Series “A” Round to Advance its Leading Digital Rights Management and Monetization Platform

Art is a personal endeavour. While creators strive to generate content that would help them carve a niche for themselves and stand out, they also aim to reach out to their audiences via platforms that would offer them more control over their content as well as its distribution.

Vydia, a platform artists and agencies have been waiting for

Today, several platforms are available for “creating” content but the problem of having distribution opportunities, performance stats and revenue control at one place still prevails. Often, people have to work simultaneously on multiple platforms to make sense of their efforts but it is both time consuming and unproductive in long run.

Vydia is a unique platform that aims to solve this problem by providing individuals and agencies an user friendly interface to manage their content, digital rights, earnings, and social trending through one centralized platform. Utilized by over 200,000 musicians, influencers, and brands worldwide, the platform is accessible on both desktop and via mobile application.

An Inc 500 video technology company, Vydia is a premium partner of major digital publishers like Vevo, YouTube, Facebook and Instagram as well as networks like BET, MTV, and Music Choice.

A major step in empowering artists and agencies

On 15th February, Vydia announced that it has completed its initial close of $7.0 million Series A funding on the heels of significant user and financial growth. The investment was led by Vocap Investment Partners and included participation from Newark Venture Partners.

Talking about their investment, Vinny Olmstead, the Managing Director of Vocap Investment Partners said,

Vydia has a significant head start as the category leader in the rapidly expanding video content market. The proliferation of serious content creators coupled with the disruption driven by social media as a distribution channel has created the need for a new kind of technology solution. Vydia had the foresight to recognize and act on this opportunity and is now leading the way with a software solution that is simple and elegant for both creators and companies that manage content creators”

The platform creators aim to use the investment to focus on their business’ prime objective that is, intersection of music and video by expanding into additional content verticals. Vydia wishes to facilitate its users and help them improve their reach by providing them with intuitive and actionable feedback.
