Calgary based electronic music and alternative outfit Krowns by power trio Kyle McKearney, Shade McKearney and Adam Casey, has kicked off the new year with a new track release, titled “Triumphant” which is one of the six tracks of their debut EP ‘Fake It’, released worldwide in January, 2019. It is a beautiful, uplifting, stadium singalong high spirited song to kick start this year. As quoted by KROWNS,
“‘Triumphant’ is a song for the people. A song to empower the underdog in all of us to rise up from societal pressure and fear.”
KROWNS is a narration about Kyle McKearney’s life and the struggles he experienced coming from a broken home and feeling like he had to pretend everything was cool, when in reality, it wasn’t. One night Kyle sat down and wrote out a bunch of confessional-style pieces about his past to help process it all. He took these truths to Grammy Award-winning producer Stephen Kozmeniuk, who has worked with superstars like Madonna, Nicki Minaj, Kendrick Lamar, and Todd Clark, and began crafting the songs that make up KROWNS’ EP. The debut single, ‘High While the World Ends’ created an international footprint for the new act, with support from MTV & VIVA.tv in Germany, along with features on Kerrang!, Radio in the UK, and dozens of other notable media outlets & blogs.
Their sophomore single, ‘Fake It’ was named as the “Top 12 Songs You Need To Hear” by Alternative Press, along with features on dozens of media outlets which is quite an impressive debut for this new alternative act. With relatable lyrics and catchy tune, “Fake It” is indeed the song you’ll be singing all over the weekend.
This six track masterpiece EP created by KROWNS, “Fake It” will definitely resonate with alternative music lovers around the world. It is the honesty in these lyrical stories that empower people to rise above their own feelings of oppression from the world today. With ambitious tour plans in the works, 2019 is bound to be a bright one for KROWNS. Follow their journey on all socials (@KROWNSmusic).
