THUMPER has just released their latest EP titled ‘Out of Body Auto-Message’ that builds upon their reputation for harnessing caustic noise and saccharine hooks, giving listeners exactly what they have hoped for. The EP is released on May 24 via Reckless Records. THUMPER is Dublin’s most sizzling and popular noise-pop sextet, delivering bubblegum psych through a wall of sonic death. With a reputation for raucous and frenzied live shows and a penchant for howling feedback and pounding rhythm, each show is an exercise in unpredictability.
Not a new name by any means, Dublin’s THUMPER have spent the past few years honing the kind of granite-hard rock that requires earplugs. THUMPER has four guitarists stage front which is unusual for most rock band out there, creating a sonic thrust impossible to ignore. While their creations till date sound like “sonic death via bubblegum pop”, as described by THUMPER themselves, this is one band you have to see live yourself to appreciate them fully, just how amazingly terrific and purified dynamic they are.
The band’s latest singles such as ‘You’re Bringing Me Down’, which is a bit of slacker noise-pop infused with paranoia, have seen major radio support across Ireland and the UK through BBC, and Radio X. They have also received online support from Paste Magazine, Nialler9 and the Line of Best Fit. As well as regular additions to Spotify’s ‘New Music Friday UK’, THUMPER is currently riding high on the ‘Rock List’ playlist. It’s no wonder THUMPER are consistently topping the ‘Ones To Watch’ lists, touring relentlessly, joining Fanclub on a national tour, playing their first UK show at a sold-out Shacklewell Arms and playing festivals all summer long.
