Welcome to Fuzzable’s Crush Alert, a section of our site where we bring you the hottest celebrities and influencers. We want to give you a reason to take a break from your busy day and spend your chill time revelling in the greatness of our chosen crush.
On this edition of Crush Alert, we’re highlighting our ultimate songwriting queen, Julia Michaels.
Who is Julia Michaels and why do we have a crush on her?
Even if you’ve never heard of the name Julia Michaels, you will most definitely know her work. She is the songwriting legend whose credits include Justin Bieber’s ‘Sorry’, Selena Gomez’s ‘Hands To Myself’, and Anne-Marie’s ‘2002’. In fact, she’s worked with all of your favourite artists, including Little Mix, Shawn Mendes, 5SOS, Troye Sivan, Nick Jonas, Demi Lovato and Ed Sheeran, to name but a few.
In 2017, Julia stepped into the spotlight in her own right and made her solo debut with the sensational ‘Issues’. The song catapulted her to the stardom she deserves, as she showed the world her incredible vulnerability, raw lyricism and spinetingling voice. Since then, she has wowed us with a string of tracks and two EPs, Nervous System and Inner Monologue Part 1.
The reason why we’ve got a massive girl crush on Julia is because she wears her heart on her sleeve. She’s a beautiful soul who lives and breathes music and it’s impossible for her to hide her passion for her craft. She brings a magical energy to each song she writes, allowing us to feel every inch of her emotion. Julia is an absolute gem and we couldn’t adore her more if we tried.

Seeing Julia in action
What better way to showcase Julia in action than by throwing it back to her debut single, ‘Issues’. The breakthrough hit opened a number of doors for the multi-talented performer and even earned her a Song of the Year nomination at the 2018 Grammy Awards.
