30 before 30

Fuzzable Blogs: September 16 – 30 before 30 update

Welcome back to my monthly Fuzzable blog!

Just after my 26th birthday last year, I wrote a blog post where I detailed 30 things that I would like to do before I turn 30. You can read my list of goals in full here.

Having just turned 27 on the 3rd of September, I thought that now would be a great time to take a look back at the list and share with you some of the things that I have already managed to tick off.

Go to New York and take a picture in Times Square

Back in April, I went on holiday to New York and Los Angeles. We visited New York first and arrived late in the evening. After leaving our luggage in our hotel, we made a beeline for Times Square as I couldn’t wait to see the lights in all their glory. Trust me when I say that it was just as glorious as I had expected. Sadly it was quite windy that night so all of my selfies were pretty vile, however, we returned the next evening and had a mini photo-shoot as you do.

Meet Marie in Disneyland Paris

Back in November, I was surprised with a trip to Disneyland Paris as a late birthday present. I was so excited and whilst I enjoyed going on all of the rides and meeting characters such as Minnie Mouse and Pluto, my ultimate highlight was two meets with my favourite character in the world, Marie.

The initial meet was hilarious as Marie was fawning over David and wouldn’t let him leave, however, the second one was just as good. She saw my Marie phone case and tried to attach my phone to the Christmas tree, and we also took a great selfie.

See Demi Lovato in concert with David

I totally smashed this goal – not only did David, mum and I see Demi live three times in the space of a few weeks during June, but we also met her too. Initially, we were supposed to see her on tour in London and Manchester, however, she was a surprise performer at Capital’s Summertime Ball and it’s safe to say that we completely lost our shit.

The next day, we were due to see her in London but due to illness her show was cancelled at the last minute and rescheduled for later in the month. The following week we went to Manchester, where I’d bought David a meet and greet for his birthday. After the M&G, we were waiting to go in when one of Demi’s team approached David and gave him three passes for the side stage view. We couldn’t believe our luck, especially as we were supposed to sit in the the dizzy heights of the arena!

The rescheduled London show was my favourite one though, as Demi just knocked it out the park. She was superb in every way, and I couldn’t have been happier to witness the joy on David’s face as she is his idol.

Play bingo

After mum promising to take me every year since turning 18, I finally got to play a proper game of bingo on the eve of my 27th birthday. We went to Gala Bingo in Weston Super Mare and had the best time. It was chaotic and stressful, but a lot of fun too. I also won £55 which was a bonus!

I’ve still got a lot of things I need to tick off, but there’s still time yet! I can’t wait to see what I can achieve during my 27th year.
