Fuzzable Blogs: November 16 – Disneyland Paris wish list

Welcome back to my monthly Fuzzable blog! In just over a week’s time, I’ll be on my way to one of my favourite places on Earth, Disneyland Paris, and I couldn’t be more excited.

I went last year as a surprise late birthday present and had the best time, so when mum asked me what I wanted as a birthday present this year, there was really only one answer.

Not only will the festive season be in full swing when we go (which is the best time of year ever), but my favourite character of all time, Marie from The Aristocats, will be out and about in the park for her official annual stint.

Last year, I went to Disneyland Paris with mum and our friend David, and the focus was on meeting Marie and going on as many of the big, fast rides as possible. This time around, it’s only mum and I so I want to incorporate as many character meets and family friendly rides as possible (as she hates the thrill rides).

I’ve made a wish list of some of the things I want to do during our trip. We’ve only got two days in the parks so I don’t know how much we’ll get done but hopefully luck will be on our side!

Meet Marie whilst wearing my Marie ears

It’s a given that I want to meet Marie again but this time I’d like to capture a picture with my favourite character whilst wearing my Marie ears. Mum had bought me a pair for our trip last year but sadly they never arrived in time so I had to make do with a sparkly pair from one of the shops in Main Street instead.

Meet a Disney Princess

Last year we didn’t even come across the Princess Pavilion until our last day, and sadly we didn’t have enough time to try and meet a Princess. This time, the Pavilion is one of our main priorities, and whilst I’d be happy to meet any princess, I’ve got my fingers crossed for Snow White.

Meet as many characters as possible

Last year we did only did four character meets (Marie x 2, Pluto and Minnie), so this time I’d love to meet more of Disney’s finest. We’re toying with the idea of booking a character breakfast as it’s a great way to meet loads of characters, so watch this space!

Ride the family friendly rides I missed last time

I really want to go on the likes of the Ratatouille ride, Peter Pan’s Flight, Buzz Lightyear Laser Blast, the Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs ride, and It’s a Small World. I focused so much on the thrill rides last time, and some of these chilled rides (Buzz, I’m looking at you), had crazy wait times so we never got round to them. I’m excited to go on some of DLP’s most iconic rides this time around, particularly as they’re ones that mum can go on too.

Ride the Rock ‘N’ Rollercoaster on my own

The Rock ‘N’ Rollercoaster was by far my favourite ride last time so I just have to do it again this time, even if it means going it alone. I want to experience it before they close it and it will be good practice for going solo on the thrill rides when mum and I go to Orlando next year.

Watch a show

We didn’t manage to catch any shows last year, but fingers crossed we can watch one of the festive offerings in a few weeks time!

Grab a perfect picture with Sleeping Beauty’s Castle

It’s gotta be done right? I took a thousand and one selfies with the castle last year but you can never have too many!

Visit the dragon under the castle

We walked in and around Sleeping Beauty’s Castle last time but completely missed the dragon underneath it. Apparently it’s well worth seeing so we’re definitely going to pay the dragon a visit!

Drink a Glowtini

I can’t think of a better way to finish a day at DLP than by having a Glowtini, aka a cocktail with a light up cube which makes it GLOW (all the heart eyes). They look immense so I’m hoping to try one on this trip!
