Ferne Cotton is one of the British style icons who everybody relates to. Her style is edgy but feminine, rock and roll meet royalty, young and fresh but with a mum’s twist. Cath Kidston is the brand who have brought traditional patterns into modern day- they sell everything with the most stunning prints from cups and plates, tablecloths, and bedding to high fashion pieces such as handbags, dresses, and coats. And now, the fashion icon’s stars finally aligned, and they are launching Fearne X Cath Kidston.
The Fearne Loves line was announced yesterday, and this is the first celebrity collaboration Cath Kidston have ever worked on.
Xenia Xenophontos who is the head of communications at Cath Kidston said in a press release that “Fearne has been a long-standing brand ambassador and fan of Cath Kidston, so we are extremely excited to announce the collaboration. Fearne is a British style icon who perfectly encapsulates our brand values and motto, to ‘brighten up your day’.
“This collection felt like the natural way for our special partnership with Fearne to evolve, and we have thoroughly enjoyed working closely with her on this exclusive collaboration. The result is a range we are all extremely proud of, and we look forward to launching it later this year.”
Fearne added “I’m so excited to be working with one of my favorite British heritage brands. I’ve been a fan of Cath Kidston ever since I got my first spotty tablecloth from them in my first flat, so it’s been an absolute dream to design such a positive, playful range with them.”
The press release also included a sneak peek at one of the patterns the brand and star have been working on;
The pattern includes several nods to the things in Fearnes life that she holds closest to her heart- A bee for daughter Honey, a T-Rex for her son Rex, and a fern leaf as… well she is Fearne.
The range is going to consist of pretty much everything; homeware, clothing, and bags. The whole collection will be available in Cath Kidston stores and online from October 26th. We can’t wait!
