Slated for an April 6, 2018, release, Cardi announced the album via her Twitter account on March 26. We’re getting major Missy Elliot vibes with the album cover, and that can only mean that the album is going to be lots of fun to hear for the first time!

Cardi surprised fans again on March 29 when she cryptically tweeted that a surprise was coming at midnight. Fans of Cardi speculated about what would be coming since the album was still a week away, and Cardi herself even confirmed in another tweet that it was not the long-awaited music video for her song “Bartier Cardi.”
The surprise was ultimately a new song from her upcoming album. Titled “Be Careful,” the song finds Cardi rapping and singing over a slinky beat that is perfect as we transition into spring and summer. It’s the kind of song you want to listen to with your friends while cruising down the freeway with the windows down.
“Be Careful” feels natural and shows Cardi’s progression with her music. She makes it exceptionally clear that she isn’t going anywhere anytime soon, and we cannot wait to see what comes next for her!
