20 More Songs ‘Glee’ Probably Would Have Covered If It Were Still Airing

If you’re like us, you’ve missed Glee a lot since it came to a close in 2015. If you’re like us, you’ve also wondered what songs that released after the show’s end might have been covered if the series was still airing. Last year, we discussed twenty songs that we thought would be covered if the show were still airing, but a lot of songs are released in a year. So, we’re back with twenty more tracks.

Let’s get into it.

1. Halfway There – ROZES

Anthem is the only word that can somewhat encapsulate the power of this track. Now imagine one of the Glee club’s students singing this optimistic track. It would be everything we’ve ever needed.

2. Juice – Lizzo

Even show choir students need to feel themselves. Lizzo’s “Juice” is the perfect track to accomplish this.

3. Sweet But Psycho – Ava Max

This song reminds us of early Lady Gaga, which Glee covered extensively, so why not give “Sweet but Psycho” a shot? The song soars.

4. Walk Me Home – P!nk

P!nk has consistently proved throughout her career that she is here to stay. “Walk Me Home” is one of the latest tracks in her expansive catalog, and it would be delightful to have her musical presence on the show again.

5. NASA – Ariana Grande

This song hailing from Grande’s recent album is so cute, and we could see any couple on the show singing this together.

6. break up with your girlfriend, i’m bored – Ariana Grande

Another track from Grande’s recent thank u, next album, we could very easily see this sassy track performed in one of the many love triangle present throughout Glee’s television tenure.

7. Girls – Rita Ora’s ft. Charli XCX, Bebe Rexha, & Cardi B

For all of its seasons, Glee promoted LGBT+ characters and relationships, and Rita Ora and her posse do the same on this track. A perfect match if there ever were one!

8. Sucker – Jonas Brothers

Here’s one for the boys: imagine three of the men from Glee club uniting to recreate this. Simply, it would be iconic.

9. Fire – Sara Bareilles

One of Bareilles’ most recent songs, “Fire” is soulful track layered with vocals and images. Maybe a Santana solo?

10. I’m A Mess – Bebe Rexha

Bebe Rexha’s “I’m A Mess” is a staple hit at this point, and for good reason. Rexha has consitinely activated for open dialogue on mental health, something the show also advocated for.

11. Just Got Paid – Sigala ft. Ella Eyre, Meghan Trainor, & French Montana

Whether it be a storyline of someone’s first job or everyone in New York in the later seasons, we could definitely see this making it onto the screen.

12. Ghost – Ella Henderson

This song is still one of our favorites after being released four or so years ago at the time writing this. It is simply because of this that we would love to see it performed on the show.

13. Cut to the Feeling – Carly Rae Jepsen

Here we have one of the best bubblegum pop songs of the decade, and any series could benefit from a little Carly Rae!

14. Flames – David Guetta & Sia

The whole series is set around fighting back against opposing forces, so this song would fit perfectly!

15. Lucid Dreams – Juice WRLD

Glee had no shortage of heartbreak in its storylines, so this track is a must!

16. I’ll Be There – Jess Glynne

I can’t be the only person thinking this song would song amazing on the show, right? Rachel or Mr. Schue singing this to a class of students would be powerful.

17. Thursday – Jess Glynne

Another Jess Glynne track, “Thursday” is a powerful song of love, acceptance, and embracing your true personhood. Everyone could use in their lives, especially the students at McKinley High!

18. Uninvited – Mallrat

“Uninvited,” in addition to being a generally great jam, would be amazing in an episode centered on anxiety.

19. Feel It Still – Portugal. The Man

Here it is: the song that filled our heads for weeks on end. The series would no doubt capitalize on that – and they would probably sound great doing so!

20. 1999 – Charli XCX & Troye Sivan

Let’s be honest. This song is iconic, and even though the Glee kids were probably super young in 1999, it’s okay, because so were Charli and Troye! A fun 1999-themed episode would definitely be in order if the series was still airing.
