In a landmark fashion moment, Roberto Cavalli will, for the first time ever, be auctioning an item straight from the catwalk. The British Heart Foundation (BHF) is allowing fashion lovers to place a pre-bid on the beautifully embroidered, one-off gown ahead of a live auction.
BHF has launched an online auction ahead of the charity’s annual fundraising gala, The Beating Hearts Ball, taking place on Wednesday 27 February to raise funds for research into heart and circulatory diseases.
The silent auction also offers the chance to win a J’Aton dress that once took pride of place in Kylie Minogue’s wardrobe, a limited edition I Love Lola print dress as well as luxury personal shopping experiences at Burberry and Amanda Wakeley.
You could even show off your style in front of the camera by bidding on a once-in-a-lifetime photo shoot with an agency, McKay Williamson. Representing the crème de la crème of fashion photographers, it is the only agency where the likes of Mark Seliger, Derrick Santini, Gered Mankowitz, James Blake, Rosie Cohe, can be booked privately.
Alongside these stand out fashion prizes, The Beating Hearts Ball online auction also includes stunning bespoke artwork, gifts from high profile celebrities, and unique, one-off experiences.
You could own a signed photo of Daniel Craig taken by world-renowned photographer Rankin and win VIP access to hit shows Loose Women and A League of their Own. Sports fans can bid on Chris Froome OBE’s winning Giro D’Italia jersey and a behind-the-scenes tour of McLaren’s headquarters.
There will also be a live auction on the night of The Beating Hearts Ball, with the option of placing a pre-bid online. People have the chance to live like a star with a package that includes a three-night stay at the Four Seasons, four tickets to The Late Late Show and a meet and greet with James Corden.
The live auction also gives the opportunity for one lucky bidder to win the chance to stay at a six-bedroom villa with views of the Amalfi coast or to mingle with the stars at the premiere of the next Bond film.
The Beating Hearts Ball is taking place in the historical Guildhall on Wednesday 27th February and will be hosted by celebrity presenter Vernon Kay. The star-studded event will welcome BHF Ambassador Pippa Middleton, David Ginola, Oliver Proudlock, Anthony Ogogo and Olivia Arben. Guests will be treated to a performance from X Factor winner Louisa and a DJ set from The Mac Twins.
The online auction is open until Wednesday 27 February at 10.15pm and people can place bids and pre-bids at www.beatingheartsball.co.uk
