The Ivy Spinningfields launch saw a host of Manchester VIPs, musicians, actors and sports stars gather together to celebrate its opening. Hosting 750 guests on the night, The Ivy Spinningfields is set to be the largest restaurant to launch this year in the UK.

Attendees were some of the very first to experience the restaurant and its beautiful interiors, including its ground floor brasserie, first-floor private dining space, second floor Ivy Asia and roof garden, complete with roaring fire pits and views across Spinningfields. Hosted across all four spectacular floors, guests enjoyed entertainment, musicians, dancers, percussionists, DJs and more from 7pm until late into the night.

Throughout the evening, party goers were treated to flowing Laurent Perrier Champagne, delicious cocktails, bowl food and sumptuous canapés

  • Cocktails including the Snowy Owl, Heard it on the Grapevine, spiced vanilla sour, Shikoku lychee spritz, Malaysian margarita, homemade Yuzu lemonade

  • The Ivy’s classic crispy duck salad
  • Cured salmon with cucumber, spiced beetroot, avocado salsa pani purri
  • Spiced buttermilk fried chicken
  • Crispy tofu with lime and ginger
  • Forest mushroom risotto, black summer truffle and aged parmesan
  • Seared seabass with girolles, cauliflower puree, Lilliput caper and brown butter
  • Grilled sirloin skewers with sea salt and black truffle mayonnaise
  • Tempura prawns with matcha tea emulsion, shichimi namami
  • Tuna tartare with avocado, wasabi, tobiko caviar, cornflowers

Guests included Mr and Mrs Caring, ‘Rock and Roll’ Royalty, Smiths drummer Mike Joyce, Blossoms and The Pins; Coronation Street’s Brooke Vincent, Antony Cotton, Bhavna limbachia, Katie McGlynn, Hayley Tamaddon, Peter Gunn, Cathy Matthews and Tisha Merry; Olympic Gold medal legend Diane Modahl; Football stars Ryan Giggs and Phil Neville, and TV chef Simon Rimmer.

The Ivy Spinningfields opens on Tuesday, 27 November, offering Mancunians a totally new dining experiences set across four fabulous floors. The hotly anticipated restaurant will accommodate up to 535 guests at any one time and will be open from dawn until late, offering everything from breakfast, lunch, afternoon tea, cocktails, dinner and weekend brunch.
