From Omarosa’s trip to the hospital to Shannon Elizabeth’s overplaying too soon to flip-flopping alliances, it’s been a wild few weeks but it all came to a roaring halt tonight, February 25, when Julie Chen crowned the winner of America’s first Celebrity Big Brother: Marissa Jaret Winokur.

After Marissa won the final Head of Household competition of the season, she decided to evict Ariadna Gutiérrez and Mark McGrath, leaving herself and Ross Matthews as the final two houseguests. Shortly afterward, the duo was questioned by the jury, who would soon be voting to choosing the winner and runner-up.
Honesty and consistency soon became common themes within the questions and statements from the final two. Omarosa even blatantly declared while secretly putting in her key to vote that she was voting for the person that wasn’t after her the entire season.
It all boiled down to a 6-3 vote, with Marissa pulling out on top – earning $250,000 in the process. Ross Matthews as runner-up receives $50,000. The festivities didn’t end there, though, as Ross was also was crowned America’s Favorite Player. With this, he earned an additional $25,000.
