Primark have announced their first ever London Fashion Week collaboration with British designer, Bobby Abley!
The BOBBY ABLEY X PRIMARK COLLECTION sees the two forces in fashion unite to celebrate their mutual love for iconic cartoons and the classic characters of which they star, with this new line drawing joyful inspiration from the adorable Minions featured in the Despicable Me movie franchise.
The collection, which was unveiled on the catwalk at Abley’s LFW show yesterday (Tuesday, February 18th), launches into Primark stores across the country from TODAY – with a huge window display unveiled at Primark’s Marble Arch flagship.
“My show at London Fashion Week this year will be my 16th catwalk show. That’s usually my comfort zone, so this collaboration is me branching out a little bit.” – Bobby Abley
With its kimono-inspired robes, oversized hoodies, sweatshirts and tees, all available in a mix of both dark and bold bright colours, the streetwear influenced collection plays with the proportions of ‘Minions verses humans’ to great effect.

Who Is Bobby Abley?
Fun, fresh, fierce and flamboyant London-based designer Bobby Abley studied design at Ravensbourne College, before moving to L.A. to embark on an a year long adventure of self-discovery following his graduation in 2010.
Whilst in L.A., Abley found himself working with world renowned designer Jeremy Scott, before moving back to London to work within the design team at Alexander McQueen.
Abley launched his own label in 2012, at first presenting his collections at London Fashion Week Mens as part of the Fashion East initiative (a non-profit designer support and showcasing scheme in London), then with British Fashion Council initiative NewGen (a scheme to provide showcasing support and promotion to emerging designers), and now with standalone shows.
Abley has also shown in New York Fashion Week as a guest of Milk Studios.
With a reputation for incorporating some of the most iconic cartoon characters from his childhood into his men’s and womenswear collections, the 30 year old designer injects his vivacious and effervescent personality into every single range that he creates.
As well has delighting fashion fans with his work, Bobby’s designs have also caught the eye of many a celebrity with the likes of A$AP Rocky, Anne-Marie, M.I.A, Lil Yatchy, Bella Hadid, Olly alexander, Sophia Richie, Big Sean and Notes all having worn clothing from various Abley collections.
More recently the talented and visionary artist, fulfilled a life long ambition by working with platinum recording artist Christina Aguilera to help create looks for the Can’t Hold Us Down singers recent Las Vegas residency, The Xperience.
