While in the middle of her Sweetener/Thank U, Next world tour, Ariana Grande has announced that she will be launching a fragrance at Ulta Beauty named after her Billboard Hot 100 hit “Thank U, Next.”
The singer first teased the release back in May. “So I’ve been working on a ‘thank u, next’ fragrance … & I can’t wait for u to see/smell her….,” Grande wrote on Instagram. “I don’t think I was supposed to announce this today but I’m excited and it smells divine so f*ck it … hi perfume team love u.”
Fans didn’t know much info about the perfume besides the fact that according to Grande, it would smell like “Ari if she went to the beach one time.” Here, Grande was referring to her first-ever perfume called “Ari,” which debuted in 2015.
Now months after Grande first teased the new fragrance, she has revealed more information about when and where fans can purchase “Thank U, Next.”
On August 6, Grande posted a picture of herself with the fragrance, which is shaped like a broken heart, which references the breakup theme of her Billboard Hot 100 single. She wrote that the fragrance will be available at Ulta Beauty starting on August 18, although it is unclear whether it will be available at both physical stores and online stores.
In the days following Grande’s announcement, the singer shared more promotional pictures of her upcoming fragrance on social media.
Grande’s mother, Joan Grande, shared her excitement about the launch of “Thank U, Next.” Under one of Grande’s social media posts, she wrote, “Darling.. you are so magnificent… I love you … and the scent of TUN is outer-worldly!! I am so happy for you..”
We can’t wait to have the fragrance in our hands on August 18! If Joan Grande says it’s good, then you know it’s going to be good.
