Jess Glynne Teases Sophomore Album with New Single

Jess Glynne’s notoriety skyrocketed with the release of Clean Bandit’s “Rather Be” in 2014 and the subsequent release of her debut album I Cry When I Laugh in 2015. She has since vanished.

That is, until May 4, 2018, when the U.K.-based singer returned with the first single from her upcoming sophomore album. And what a song it is. “I’ll Be There” highlights Glynne’s powerful voice and vibrato while layering it with a beautifully moving message and a swaying beat that calls back to I Cry When I Laugh while remaining intrinsically fresh.

The full music video can be seen here:

“I’ll Be There,” upon its release earlier this month, was immediately promoted by Spotify on its “New Music Friday” segment and by Apple Music on its “Today’s Hits” playlist. It is made inherently clear that Jess Glynne’s return is a long time in the making, and her new single proves that she is not only a force to be reckoned with, but also one whose talent will never cease giving us goosebumps.

To keep up to date with Jess Glynne, follow her on Twitter here and on Instagram here. “I’ll Be There,” along with all of Jess Glynne’s prior music, can be bought on iTunes or streamed on Spotify and Apple Music.
