Welcome to the Fuzzmas Advent Awards, a series running every day throughout December celebrating all our favorite things from 2018. Today we’re counting down our top five Blogs of the Year.
The way we consume and receive our news has changed tremendously over the course of years. We’ve certainly come a long way from the days of waiting patiently for our monthly magazine subscription to come in the mail, and thanks to the pervasiveness of social media, Instagram has turned everyday people into celebrities.
So, the challenge of finding the top five Blogs of the Year has proven to be nothing if not a challenge, especially for these Fuzzmas Advent Awards.
But we have, in fact, come up with this list of the top five Blogs of the Year. We’ve even gone so far as to pick the best in different categories for your reading pleasure!
Top Beauty Blog: Miss Whoever You Are
https://www.instagram.com/p/BqVM234lyXu/
Eileen Dautruche is a New York-based blogger who takes the time, every day, to handcraft posts about her favorite things. Whether it’s about her latest favorite makeup line, or it’s about her What She Wore last night, the lady behind the Miss Whoever You Are blog takes a no-nonsense, common sense approach to makeup, beauty, fashion, and all things fly. She understands that not everyone has five hours in the day to do their hair and makeup, and her “real” approach to fashion makes her feel like everyone’s bestie in their head.
Top Sports Blog: Deadspin
Do you like your sports delivered straight, no chaser, with an occasional drop-by from a celebrity or two to give out some hilarious awards? Deadspin is the Blog of the Year for you!
Top Lifestyle Blog: Cupcakes and Cashmere
Emily Schuman started her career at Conde Nast and took everything she learned to her hit lifestyle website, Cupcakes and Cashmere. Classy & elegant, yet somehow accessible, Cupcakes & Cashmere was the obvious choice for our Lifestyle Blog of the Year.
Top Home Decor Blog: Lark & Linen
Toronto-based designer Jacqueline Clark has a blog, Lark & Linen, that eschews trends and focuses instead on clean, white designs. That’s why we chose her on this list for the Fuzzmas Advent Awards.
Top Gaming Blog: HipHopGamer
Gerard Williams, known to the world as the HipHopGamer, brings his infectious personality — and a few celebrity friends — to his raw gaming reviews, live competitions, and red carpet events.
