Ariana Grande is the new face of Givenchy

Grammy Award winning artist Ariana Grande has been named as the new face of French luxury fashion and perfume house Givenchy.

After teasing the news on social media yesterday, the House of Givenchy officially revealed Ariana as their new ambassador today, describing her as “a strong, independent woman of refreshing character and style.”

According to Givenchy, Ariana “naturally embodies the spirit of the Givenchy woman with impertinence, generosity and a lightning wit — all cloaked in a touch of mystery.”

Speaking about her exciting new collaboration, Ariana said: “I am so proud to be the new face of Givenchy. It is a House I have forever admired and to now be part of that family is such an honor.

“I love this clothing and the confidence and joy it brings to the people wearing it. Not only is the clothing timeless and beautiful but I’m proud to work with a brand that makes people feel celebrated for who they are, and unapologetic about whatever they want to be.”

Givenchy has previously worked with a number of high profile individuals, including Audrey Hepburn, Beyoncé, Julia Roberts, Rooney Mara, and Lady Gaga. The fashion house’s current Artistic Director, Clare Waight Keller, was also responsible for Meghan Markle’s wedding dress when she married Prince Harry last year.

Ariana is currently in the middle of her Sweetener World Tour and headlined the infamous Coachella festival last month. Whilst she has collaborated with a number of brands in the past, Ariana has also released several of her own fragrances and is reportedly in the process of unveiling her own beauty line after “Ariana Grande: Thank U, Next” was submitted for trademark.

The full Givenchy Fall-Winter 2019 campaign starring Ariana Grande will be unveiled in July.
