Fans of the hit Starz television show, Outlander, will be thrilled to know that their “Droughtlander” will conclude on November 4th at 8:00 p.m. Unlike previous seasons that were set in Scotland and France, the adventures of Jamie Fraser (Sam Heughan) and Claire Randall Fraser (Caitriona Balfe) will pick up in the so-called “New World,” or Colonial America.
While Clan Fraser won’t be in Scotland anymore, they’ll definitely be taking Scotland with them to the New World.
For Fuzzable readers that have an infatuation with both Scotland and Outlander, however, Brendan Vacations is offering them a chance to take a guided trip around the country that’s inspired by the show. And the best part is, you don’t have to travel through the stones to get the full Outlander experience!
The expert guided vacation company takes travelers through all the famous Outlander film sites on this itinerary. Guests will visit Doune Castle, the setting of Clan Mackenzie’s Castle Leoch (which was also used in the hit HBO drama, Game of Thrones, as the site of Winterfell); the 5th-century walls of Blackness Castle on the shores of the scenic Firth of Forth, the backdrop for the infamous Fort William prison; and the battlefield of Culloden where guests will walk amidst the dramatic scenery and eery setting where Claire and Jamie were forced to part ways.
Travelers will also experience how L’Hopital des Anges came to life in St. Mungo’s Cathedral in Glasgow and wander through the mystical Orkney Islands, home to the remains of the Neothilic Skara Brae village, and so much more over the course of 13-days.
