There is officially nothing Jade Thirlwall can’t do. From topping the charts and touring the world with her band Little Mix, to collaborating on a clothing collection with PLT and raising awareness of eating disorders by talking about her own struggle with anorexia.
Now Jade is adding another string to her bow, as the owner of a Cocktail Bar. Jade is teaming up with Red Door to open a cocktail bar in the home town of South Shields.
The new late venue promises “great service, extraordinary drinks, and a soundtrack of classic tunes”. The drinks menu promises a “a ‘journey through time’, featuring cocktails dating from the 19th century golden and age up to the modern day.
Talking about the exciting new venture Jade said: “I’m proud to come from South Shields. I love my home town and wanted to invest in the local economy. South Shields is a unique place with a lot to offer and I wanted to support that.”
“South Shields has always been known for being a great night out – it’s a town with a real party spirit so I thought where better to open Red Door.”
“I wanted to find a company that would shake things up and bring something different to South Shields. Red Door has bars in Chester and Liverpool and it was clear they would be a really good fit for the venue. “The main aim is to create an unforgettable experience for everyone who comes to Red Door.”
The 350-capacity bar in Ocean Road owned by Jade, opens on Friday 1st November with a VIP launch.
