Franklin Eugene has shown off his stunning new collection at Milan Fashion Week.
Eugene’s Spring/Summer 2020 collection received its first showing at yesterday’s event (June 17), with fashionistas and journalists both given their first look at Franklin’s latest menswear collection CITRUS – and we’re obsessed with everything we’ve seen so far.
Inspired by a citrus colour palette that includes lime green, lemon yellow, vibrant orange and tomato red, CITRUS features stunning stitched fabrics with organic cotton, silks, and wool.
The result – as is always the case with Franklin Eugene collections – is particularly striking.
Every now and again, a designer will reinvent the wheel and introduce a collection that changes the way you think about fashion – but more often than not, that’s in the women’s fashion industry.
With his latest collection, Franklin once again pushes the envelope in menswear and has built a range of pieces that not only look fantastic but defy boundaries.
This CITRUS collection does exactly that and features a whole host of light-weight, comfortable clothing that’s designed for the spring and summer – think sun, surf, and sand.
What’s also interesting is that the collection remains true to Eugene’s signature style, with each piece featuring clean lines, strong cuts, and – of course – fantastic finish work that is a testimony to the Franklin Eugene fashion house; craftsmanship and design meet in harmony.
Reaction to the new collection has been strong, with the FRANKLIN EUGENE TRENCH SHIRT – a new range of t-shirt designs inspired by the trench coat – already proving to be a fan favourite.
Over time, we envisage this becoming one of Franklin’s staples, with new styles and colour schemes introduced, sporting new fabrics and finishes.
In fact, it’s the trench shirt that tells the biggest story in Eugene’s CITRUS collection – a story of progression and transition, whilst remaining true to the core values at the heart of everything Eugene does.
These latest pieces are edgy, sophisticated, and designed for modern men who want to express themselves – and aren’t afraid of bold new concepts.
Speaking of the new collection, Mr Eugene said: “Like the elements of citrus that inspired the collection, these clothes are light, fresh, and vivacious. This is fun fashion!”.
CITRUS also marks the brand’s first foray into swimwear, with a pair of stunning lemon and orange print swim shorts that are fully lined for comfort as well as aesthetics.
