Almost Owen Is Back With Latest Track ‘Something In You’

Boston based singer-songwriter Isaac Haselkorn, who goes by the name Almost Owen or AO, has recently unveiled his latest single titled ‘Something In You’ on April 23, 2019, via streaming music services. The latest track follows up his previous release ‘I Should Know Better’. This new single is a warm, yet haunting acoustic record which talks about the difficulties of letting go. It pays homage to John Mayer’s Continuum days, as well as the lyricism and self-awareness of Paul Simon at his best. Owen wrote, produced and recorded the song in his own bedroom studio, just outside of Boston, MA.

‘Something In You’ is as folk-pop at its finest which is based on an acoustic guitar and rustic beats mixed with sweet melody and an uplifting appeal. It is one of that creation which brings joy to you, where you just want to close your eyes and sway along while listening to the song in a happy go lucky atmosphere. Owen’s beautiful and effortless intimate vocals have in fact enhanced the beauty of the lyrics which makes the atmosphere mesmerizing and irresistible.

Almost Owen began performing as a drummer in dive bars and jazz clubs from the early age of 11. Later, while studying at the prestigious institution Berklee College of Music, he grabbed the attention of Grammy Award-winning musicians Jamey Haddad and Danilo Perez. Haddad and Perez then introduced Owen to Paul Simon, Wayne Shorter, Joe Lovano, and other jazz legends and included him in studio sessions, tours, and performances with them. They encouraged him to travel internationally and learn broad music styles while performing for audiences everywhere.

Almost Owen took their advice seriously and spent the next four years on the road, traveling across 12 countries and performed for more than five hundred shows. Now he is back in his home town Boston after winning acclaim from fans and critics alike for his undeniable songwriting and electric performances and has been steadily releasing pop jams ever since. In fact, based on the groundswell of support from his growing local following, The Improper Bostonian named him one of the 25 most influential personalities in the city.
