10 movies coming to theaters this February

Of course, when February 14th comes along, everyone will be heading to the movie theaters for date night, most likely to watch a romance movie.

One of the most anticipated films hitting theaters this February is Fifty Shades Darker based on the Fifty Shades of Grey book series. However, if you’re spending the holiday single, or aren’t into romance movies, know that there are so many other options to choose from this February, including action, horror, and comedy films.

To help you choose which movie to see, here is a list of 10 films coming to theaters this February!

1.) The Space Between Us – February 3

The Space Between Us is a romance/science fiction film that stars Asa Butterfield and Britt Robertson as a “Romeo and Juliet” – like couple. The cast also includes notable actors Gary Oldman and Carla Gugino.

2.) Rings – February 3

Rings focuses on the story of a dangerous urban legend. It is the third film in the Ring franchise.

3.) Fifty Shades Darker – February 10

Starring Dakota Johnson and Jamie Dornan, Fifty Shades Darker is the second film in the Fifty Shades of Grey series based on the books by author E.L. James.

4.) John Wick: Chapter 2 – February 10

Starring Keanu Reeves, John Wick: Chapter 2 once again calls for ex-hitman John Wick to come out of retirement for another mission.

5.) The Lego Batman Movie – February 10

The Lego Batman Movie is a spin-off of the 2014 film The Lego Movie, which is set in the same universe. The cast includes Will Arnett, Zach Galifianakis, Michael Cera, Rosario Dawson, Ralph Fiennes, Mariah Carey, and Jenny Slate.

6.) Fist Fight – February 17

When one teacher gets the other fired, the two arrange an after-school fist fight. The movie stars Charlie Day and Ice Cube.

7.) The Great Wall – February 17

The film is set in medieval China and stars Matt Damon, Jing Tian, Pedro Pascal, Willem Dafoe, and Andy Lau.

8.) A Cure for Wellness – February 17

A Cure for Wellness is a psychological horror thriller film that includes the cast of Dane DeHaan, Mia Goth, and Jason Isaacs.

9.) Get Out – February 24

Get Out is a horror film written and directed by Jordan Peele that stars Daniel Kaluuya, Catherine Keener, Allison Williams, Bradley Whitford, and Caleb Landry Jones. The Los Angeles Times named Get Out “the scariest film at Sundance [festival].”

10.) Rock Dog – February 24

Rock Dog is a 3D-animated comedy film based on the Chinese graphic novel Tibetan Rock Dog by Zheng Jun. The cast includes Luke Wilson, Eddie Izzard, J. K. Simmons, Lewis Black, Kenan Thompson, Mae Whitman, Jorge Garcia, Matt Dillon, and Sam Elliott.
