It’s the same old story: you’re going out with your friends for a day of shopping and then straight to a party afterwards. You’ve nailed your outfit, but you simply can’t decide on a bag that goes with what you’re wearing and has enough space for everything that you want to carry. Gledavi is hoping to change that by launching the stunning convertible bag – and we’re goddamn excited.
Gledavi has combined expert craftsmanship with a sleek and stylish design to create a brand new Swivel-in-Style™ Patent Pending Convertible Bag – and we want one in every colour right now. This reversible, multi-interchangeable bag has a flap that allows you to change its design in seconds, taking you from daytime into nighttime and allowing you to achieve a stunning look with slim compartments, giving you room for all of your accessories.
In fact, the bag is big enough to hold a 13-inch laptop, meaning you can take it to class and then with you on your shopping trips and on a night out. There’s also room for your makeup products so that you can touch up your look throughout the day, a continental wallet and your sunglasses.
The bag also includes an interior zipper pocket, two slip pockets, two exterior zipper pockets for keeping items safe and sound, and one exterior back slip pocket. There’s also the main closure with a zip and for your added security, there’s an additional flip-lock closure, too. The best part of all, of course, it’s the reversible flap, helping you to transform the look of your bag in seconds.
There are currently two key styles. The first is a stunning Swivel-in-Style backpack, available in cork with a beautiful tropical secondary flap. The second is a smaller Swivel-in-Style Crossbody Bag, which includes a removable keychain for keeping your house keys in order, a slip pocket for your iPhone and other accessories, a zipper pocket for keeping personal items like a credit card and student pass, and the main compartment for your everyday essentials. This second bag also offers a reversible and multi-interchangeable flap, taking your look from day to night.
An exciting journey
Founded in 2017 by husband and wife David and Glenys, Gledavi is based in the United States and was conceived after the birth of their daughter. Glenys couldn’t find a bag that met all of her needs, and so decided that the best option was to create her own. With a Singer sewing machine and a bright idea, she created the first Swivel-in-Style prototype. The rest is history.
The duo is running a Kickstarter campaign to now take the brand global, and help to make their vision a reality. Interested users can pledge their support and enjoy a range of rewards, such as leather charms, crossbody bags and even a thirty-minute video call with the founders. Running for the next month, you’ll need to act fast if you want to be part of the journey, so get supporting.
