University and exams may have gotten the better of us recently, but we’re finally back with our weekly hits playlist – and we’re so excited to share these songs with you! A lot of staples have remained, but this week we’ve added some songs that help add nuance and emotion to the playlist, which ultimately helps balance it out and tie it together.
If you’re interested in checking out our weekly hits playlist, you can find it here:
Staples that remain on the playlist include Little Mix and Nicki Minaj’s “Woman Like Me,” Ariana Grande’s “thank u, next,” Rita Ora’s “Let You Love Me,” and Charli XCX and Troye Sivan’s “1999.”
New songs on the playlist range from a new Clean Bandit track to a variety of not-as-new tracks that add the perfect spice to the playlist. We’ve added Clean Bandit, Rita Ora, and KYLE’s “Nowhere.” The track is extremely easy to bop to, and the final chorus includes a sharp key change that will have you shook each and every time you listen to it.
Other new tracks include St. Vincent’s “Los Ageless,” which balances synth and iridescent vocals to create a transcendent experience. David Guetta and Bebe Rexha’s “Yesterday” sees this star proving her position as a powerhouse in the pop music industry. Joywave and KOPPS’ “Tongues,” like St. Vincent’s song, is a perfect alternative track and one we’re sad to have only just discovered recently.
Finally, we have added two songs from Charli XCX’s Number 1 Angel mixtape. First, we’ve added the timeless track “3AM (Pull Up),” which also features MØ. Both artists sound incredible on the song, and it’s relatable to boot. Second, and finally, we’ve added “ILY2.” This track is extremely cute and delightful, and we can’t help but smile when we here it.
