Let's review the Disney x Spectrum Mickey Mouse Collection.

We’d recently brought you an early look at the stunning new Spectrum Brushes x Disney’s Mickey Mouse collection. The collection launched just under two weeks ago, and our beautiful friends over at Spectrum kindly sent us over the complete collection to review for you guys, so you can see if there truly is Disney magic in the makeup brushes and accessories.

We very kindly received a parcel containing all these beauties.

Although usually in reviews we go into them with no pre-conceptions, we already have high expectations- we currently use the Spectrum x Disney – Little Mermaid dinglehopper oval brushes and the Millenial Pink eye brush set and the quality of these brushes are second to none. So we do have the hope that these brushes are of the same quality and we’re hopeful that the bags are also living up to our high Spectrum standards.

Today we’ll be reviewing the Mickey Belt Bag, The Mickey Mouse Wash Bag and the True Original 10 piece brush set with pouch bag.

Belt Bag.

As you can see this belt bag looks lovely, it’s not too large, but its not too small either. It can easily fit our Huawei P20 Pro, a pair of headphones, lipstick, charger, a makeup brush and a cardholder in. The quality is freaking insane. You’d get this quality from high-end designers, with detailing in every aspect from the cute Mickey Keyring, the studs perfectly placed, the gold Spectrum x Disney embellishment. At just £39.99, this is a bargain, as you’d find high street stores with the same sorta bag for the same price but with quality that’s nowhere near as perfect. Oh and you can take the bag off the belt, and have them as two separate pieces too.

Mickey Washbag.

Our favourite piece is this cute wash bag. It’s large enough to be a travel makeup bag (so when packing for a week in the sun, this is our essential) there’s literally room for every essential we need, compartments and feels so sturdy and strong! Okay so our usual makeup bags come from Primark for £6, however, they only have a life of up to 3 months, and they do feel cheap. This wash bag has the potential to become a family heirloom as it is so well made and easy to clean.

Mickey Pouch bag.

This bag is EVERYTHING. It’s not just made to store your brushes in, it’s made to take to work, or to have on a night out. The class of the main mouse is evident, but with the quirks and lovability too. We’re TOTALLY head over heels for this. Again like the rest of the bags in the collection the quality and eye for details are unbelievable. You’ll spot us on the dance floor with this!

The brushes.

Right, lets get one thing out there. Usually makeup brushes that are themed can look nice but the quality is heavily compromised. You only need to look on sites like Amazon and Ebay to see Unicorn brushes that look nice, but are scratchy or just a bit naff. Spectrum however have built a reputation of their brushes being the best in the game. They’re loved by Little Mix’s makeup artists, Lottie Tomlinson and Zoella to name a few.

These brushes are detailed so classily, the bamboo coloured handles, the bristles, and the cute Mickey Embellishment. You get 10 brushes in total, 5 face, 4 eye and one brow comb/ liner brush. In all aspects these brushes are the very best quality, the bristles are so soft it’s mind-blowing. There are enough brushes in this set to do a full face of glam, no corners cut at all. As always with Spectrum, their brushes are made with only the best materials and are vegan and cruelty-free too. There are no gimmicks here, these are the best brushes around, just with a magical Mickey twist. The brushes feel sturdy, expensive, and well made. No disappointment at all.

This collection is for anybody who loves Disney. From makeup artists and lovers, to anyone needing to add some of that ‘Oh Boy’ charm into their outfits. Everything is perfect, from the price point, the quality, the design, the class, the ethics of Spectrum.
