Here at Fuzzable, we are always looking for fun and original content on YouTube; there are gamers everywhere on the site, big names including JackSepticEye, Pewdiepie, and Markiplier to name a few. These gamers have entertained their viewers with their walkthroughs of brand new games that have come out and games that are requested by their subscribers. But what about games from way back? What about some proper retro video games, played by the voices behind modern games? For this, we look no further than “Retro Replay”.
Retro Replay is your not so average gaming channel. Voice Actors; Nolan North & Troy Baker, kick back to play some of their favorite games from back in the day before they were well known, modern voices behind such games as Uncharted, The Last of Us, and Deadpool. The guys have entertained and educated their subscribers to some classic, retro video games. By playing on consoles such as the “Sega Genesis” and “SNES” it brings back 80s and 90s nostalgia vibes and the overall chemistry between the two friends is insane. The channel brings fun and hilarity to people of all ages and can be entertaining to those who don’t know a thing about gaming to those who deem themselves to be a gaming prodigy.
So we now know a little bit about the channel, but who are these retro video gaming rejects?
Nolan North
Nolan North is an American actor and voice actor, who has given his voice to characters in extremely popular games such as; “Nathan Drake” in the Uncharted series and “Desmond Miles” in the Assasins Creed games. North was honored with a BAFTA special award, at an event in London West Hollywood. He was honored for his contribution in his in-game performance. North has lent his voice to over 130 titles and started his gaming career as an actor in 1999. Giving us nearly two decades of incredible and lovable characters.
Troy Baker
Troy Baker is a voice actor and musician, like North, he has also lent his voice to a wide variety of characters such as “Joel” in The Last of Us, “Deslin Rowe” in Infamous: Second Son. He has also played both sides of good and evil by playing “Joker” in Batman Arkham Origins, and Bruce Wayne/Batman in various video games. Most recent being Batman’s Telltale series. Baker has been nominated for three BAFTA awards for his phenomenal voice acting work, these being for Uncharted, Far Cry 4, and The Last of Us. Baker is an incredible voice actor who will leave all gamers wanting more.
We believe that the whole idea of two leading famous voice actors of modern games playing classic, retro video games is such a great idea of getting people of all ages to sit back and enjoy Baker and North playing games of their child and teen-hood before they became the voice actors we know and love today!
