Eroda has a whole lot of history that is so embedded in daily life as the ruins of many structures from the past remain standing across the land.

Most people on the island can trace their heritage back numerous generations and still live in the same houses built by their ancestors. In a clear sign of the times, the island’s art scene has recently started to develop with Kiernan Studios offering classes. She can teach you the basics of drawing, sculpture, painting – watercolour & acrylic – and more! Whether you are a beginner or an experienced painter, Kiernan has a class for you

In particular, Erodean hairstyles have become a rather bold expression of self amongst the island’s youth, the Adore Salon is the place to go for the latest look, they cater to all, men, woman and children.

For those who love the outdoors, there are various hiking trails, the most popular being the Historic Harbour Road Trail which people travel far and wide to complete. The shortest from the North to the Southside of the island, the shortest trail taking just 45 minutes while the longest can take three hours. An extra special time to do a trial is if the sun is rising as the whole isle just lights up.

For those the history lovers who pay a visit to Eroda, no visit is complete if you don’t go to Montgomery Maclean Castle the premiere historical landmark of Eroda. This 13th Century relic is a must-see for all tourists looking to learn more about Eroda’s rich history.
