Just two months after announcing the title of the final installment of her Red Queen series, Victoria Aveyard has finally released the cover to War Storm in an exclusive with Entertainment Weekly.
The cover is accompanied by an interview. And in it, Aveyard dishes about her feelings on finalizing the New York Times’ best-selling series.
Here’s a taste of the interview:
ENTERTAINMENT WEEKLY: What are you most excited for readers to see in this last book?
VICTORIA AVEYARD: Obviously, I’m really excited to share the culmination of this story, and hopefully give the audience some closure to the Red Queen series. We’re essentially at the boiling point and I want everyone to enjoy the final installment as things… explode.

Along with closing this series, Aveyard also mentioned that she’s excited to get started on “new worlds.” Which means more books, more plots, and more kick-ass characters.
*happy sigh*
And although I’m very sad to see this series end, I’m excited to see where everyone else ends up. I’m excited to see how things end. And I’m excited to begin a new journey with Aveyard.
Her writing, her storytelling really, has captivated people from all around the world. And her ability to make these characters feel real and complex is one of the many reasons Aveyard has become such a successful writer. I am incredibly proud to be a fan of her work.
There is still some time before the book is out, so what better way to cope than by rereading the entire series? And then reading it again? And again.
So good luck with the wait. And get excited — War Storm will be released on May 15, 2018.
