We’re officially only two weeks out from the November 16, 2018, release of Pokemon: Let’s Go, Pikachu! and Let’s Go, Eevee! These new entries in the Pokemon franchise mark fans’ first return to the Kanto region since 2009’s HeartGold and SoulSilver, and with how far technology has come in the last decade we have no doubt the games are going to be stunning.
Without further ado, here are the three aspects of the Let’s Go games we are most looking forward to:
The Debut of Meltan and Melmetal
The seventh generation broke many patterns (looking at you, Cosmog line and Zeraora), and with these patterns is the introduction of Meltan and Melmetal mid-generation. These species have never been available to fans before but will become available when fans connect their Pokemon GO accounts to Let’s Go, Pikachu! and Let’s Go, Eevee! We absolutely cannot wait to meet Meltan, which is incredibly cute, and battle with the its huge evolution Melmetal.
The Stunning Graphics
It has been almost a decade since we last visited Kanto, so the graphics can only have improved since then. The above trailer highlights this technological advancement with vibrant colors and towns and characters that pop off of the screen. Even though Kanto has been visited many times, the graphics alone will make this adventure stand out and we absolutely cannot wait to see the region and its creatures illuminated so well.
The Introduction of Master Trainers
A common complaint shared by the last couple Pokemon games has been the lack of an extensive postgame for fans to enjoy. Here, however, The Pokemon Company International has attempted to remedy that complaint. New to these games are Master Trainers. There is a Master Trainer for each of the Pokemon in the Kanto Pokedex that you must find and either battle or fulfill a request for them. It’s going to be so fun to train all Kantonian Pokemon to battle their respective Master Trainers!!
