KKW Beauty has announced its brand new Opalescent collection in celebration of counter Kim Kardashian West’s upcoming 40th birthday!
Due for release on Kim’s birthday at the exact time she was born, Wednesday, 10.21 at 10:46AM PT, the collection is inspired by her Opal birthstone and consists of a 10-pan pressed powder palette, a new semi-matte liquid lipstick in eight shades, an opalescent lipgloss and two new shades of KKW Beauty’s bestselling lip liner.
The semi-matte liquid lipsticks come in eight shades ranging from nude to pink. They feature names including Birthday Suit, Classic Kim, Birthday Gift, Unwrapped, HBD, After Party, Surprise Party and Birthday Kiss.

The 10-pan palette consists of four metallic shimmer shadows and six smooth matte shadows designed to add colour and dimensions. Coming in a range of brown and purple shades, they include more birthday related names: 10:46AM, 80’s Baby, Electric Purple, Birthday Energy, Middle Sister, Crystal Opal, Honey Opal, OMG I’m 40!, Time Flies and Cedars.
The Opalescent Pressed Powder Palette includes to four metallic shimmer shadows & six buttery smooth matte shadows to add dimension and color.

Speaking about the collection, Kim said: “To celebrate turning 40, I wanted to create a collection that was unique from the products and shades down to the packaging. As I was developing the product range, I thought of my Opal birthstone because there are so many different colors that come from the stone based on the refraction of light.”
