Last year we reported on the release of REYNA’s beautiful “Heartbeat,” and today we are pleased to share and review the stunning music video for this hit track.
REYNA, which is comprised of two sisters, effortlessly shines on the track, and we had nothing but good things to say about the track in our previous review. Furthermore, the music video elevates the song to an entirely new level. In a video that could almost also seemingly fit the theme of Ariana Grande’s “Sweetener,” these stars spice matters up with their Mexican heritage, adding a fascinating layer to an already stellar concept.
Of the video, the artists said:
For the video, we created a dark and delusional fantasy world where we tie down our lovers and feed them a love potion cake to symbolize our infatuation. We got to put our Mexican culture in the spotlight and had so much fun decorating the set with conchas, prayer candles, calaveras, etc.
They went on to add that one of the masks used in the video is from a childhood trip to Mexico, which makes the video that much more special to them. As a viewer, it’s easy to notice the fun this duo had while creating this video and it translates into a genuine experience for the viewer, which we at Fuzzable appreciate and adore.
Outside of “Heartbeat,” these sisters have experience in the music industry dating back to 2011, and with this song and video it is clear they’re not going anywhere anytime soon. They have worked with prominent producers and have been praised by such notable sources as Billboard Pride, NYLON, and Gay Times.
These sisters also have their debut EP to look forward to in 2019, so be sure to keep your eyes peeled for their stage name in the news.
As always, keep up to date with REYNA by following them on their social media. They can be found @REYNAtheband on both Twitter and Instagram. You can also find their music everywhere you purchase and stream music, including iTunes, Spotify, and Apple Music.
