Rita Ora has just announced the release of her sophomore album, Phoenix.
The album, which is slated for a November, 23, 2018, release follows the massive success of her latest song “Girls” – which featured Charli XCX, Bebe Rexha, and Cardi B – in addition to singles “Anywhere,” “Your Song,” and “Lonely Together” with the late Avicii. It succeeds her 2012 debut album, Ora, which spawned the hit “How We Do (Party).”
To promote the album, a single titled “Let You Love Me” will be released on September 21, 2018 – this Friday at the time of writing. The track sees Rita gliding over smooth synths with silky vocals leading up to a dance-worthy chorus, her emotions raw, her insecurities flaring as she enters a new relationship. It’s a new side to Rita, but one we cannot wait to explore further. While this single will be available very soon, Phoenix is available for pre-order and pre-save here.
Speaking about the album, Rita Ora says:
One of the most liberating feelings for me is performing and creating music. This album is a true labour of love, and it was important for me to do it my way. I’m so appreciative of the love and support from those who worked with me on the record and allowed me create something I’m really proud of.
Outside of music, Rita Ora has done her fair share of acting, especially during her break between her last album and this one. She appeared as Mia Grey in the Fifty Shades of Grey trilogy (and recorded the hit single “For You” with Liam Payne for the final installment!) and will appear in the Pokemon film Detective Pikachu next year. While her acting work is stunning, we’re so excited for her return to music.
Phoenix will arrive globally on November 23, 2018. It will reportedly contain the hits “Girls,” “For You,” “Anywhere,” and “Lonely Together” – plus, of course, her new “Let You Love Me,” which arrives this Friday, September 21! Don’t forget to pre-order and show your love for this brilliant talent.
