Review: COOLA Face Sport SPF 50 White Tea Moisturizer and Liplux SPF 30 Peppermint Vanilla

Review: COOLA Face Sport SPF 50 White Tea Moisturizer and Liplux SPF 30 Peppermint Vanilla

After about a week of using some of COOLA’s products (which are cruelty-free) I’m shocked at how much I truly love them!

The products I’m talking about are their Face Sport SPF 50 White Tea Moisturizer and Liplux SPF 30 Peppermint Vanilla, which is a lip balm. I was using a moisturizer that cost $40 for 1.6oz, and I already switched it out for COOLA’s Face Sport SPF 50 White Tea Moisturizer which is $37 for 1.7oz, because I felt like I was getting faster results along with the bonus of having 50 SPF.

Now let me start by saying I have acne prone, sensitive, and combination skin. Mainly dry, especially because of the acne products that I use which can result in drier skin.

Sensitive and acne prone skin is probably one of the worst combinations ever, because almost everything that gets rid of acne or acne marks is strong. And strong = bad for sensitive skin. But of course, there’s always a way around it. I’ve found acne products that doesn’t irritate my sensitive skin. And now I’ve found a new moisturizer to add to my skincare collection as well.

After using COOLA’s Face Sport SPF 50 White Tea Moisturizer, my skin has been clearer and more toned. Coincidence? Who knows. But it’s an awfully strange coincidence don’t you think?

Because of its non greasy texture, I love using this product during the day when I’m home if I feel that I need a little moisture. I also always use it at night after I cleanse my skin, tone it, and add my face serum. The moisturizer is always my last step, followed by any spot treatment that I may need for any existing acne. Also, a little of this moisturizer goes a long way! I learned that the hard way.

Another product I tried was their Liplux SPF 30 Peppermint Vanilla. Now the thing that caught my attention with this lip balm was the SPF! Because let’s be honest, most lip balms are pretty similar. What I love about this one is the vanilla peppermint scent, although I feel I don’t smell enough of the peppermint. A matter of fact, for me the scent isn’t too overpowering, which can be a good thing. But if you love a bit of a sweet smell, this would be for you!

The SPF is what makes this item so special, because in my opinion, most lip balms feel the same. But what’s also unique about this lip balm is that it doesn’t leave my lips as shiny as others or leave a tint, which I DO NOT like.

The next item I’m about to talk about wasn’t one of the items I tried this past week, but I felt the need to mention it because it’s the item that captured my attention of this brand.

After being tired of my makeup not lasting as well or as long as I’d like, I knew I had to change something. I felt like the SPF I was using is what was making my makeup not last, and I wasn’t going to get rid of it because SPF is a must when going outside. I’d always apply SPF and a primer to protect my skin and supposedly make my makeup last longer. Which clearly didn’t happen.

While looking for a new SPF that might help my makeup look better, I ran into COOLA’s Dawn Patrol Classic Makeup Primer SPF 30 Cucumber. A SPF AND PRIMER ALL IN ONE. After using this product for months, it’s now my holy grail.

Of course makeup doesn’t last forever throughout the day, but this primer is the only one that makes it last the longest. And I’m doing one less step!

The next product I want to try is their Classic SPF 30 Makeup Setting Spray Green Tea/Aloe, because so far this brand hasn’t disappointed me and my sensitive skin. I’m curious if it can stand up to even the most popular setting sprays out there.

COOLA is a brand that needs more attention. Because they’re truly worth the hype! And a plus? Ulta’s coupons work on COOLA’s products! You can also find them at Sephora or COOLA’s official website.

Please note that I am not a skincare or beauty professional. This is just my opinion and how and when I love to use these products.
