Here at Fuzzable, we like to look upon things that are trending and that are popular among the public. Although we don’t particularly touch on the topic of gaming a lot, we do love to play them and believe that doing these type of articles will reach a whole new audience to join our amazing Fuzz readers. So without further delay, we will be reviewing the highly anticipated Red Dead Redemption II.
What Is It?
Red Dead Redemption II is brought by Rockstar Games, who have delighted fans with games such as Grand Theft Auto and Bully. They bring open world gaming to the screens of many with no disappointment from fans. The game is set in the old west.
Red Dead Redemption II is the prequel of the first game. Players control Arthur Morgan, who is the lieutenant of the notorious Van Der Linde gang. After a botched ferry heist, himself, the gang and a young John Marston (from the first game) are forced to flee their hideout in Blackwater. In an attempt to escape the authorities they try to cross the mountains, but to do this they must raise funds to aid their escape.
What Makes It So Great?
The Scenery
Red Dead Redemption is set in 5 different fictonal states in the U.S.: New Hanover, Ambarino, Lemoyne, New Austin, and West Elizabeth. To no surprise of the gamers, the scenery is purely stunning; the player truly feels as if they have been sucked into this world. The realism is absolutely amazing as everything just feels as if you are watching a film. From riding your loyal horse through the deep snow in the mountains to brawling in the local tavern with rival gang members, the gamer is left truly immersed in the world and era of the Wild West.
The Charaters
The player takes the role of Arthur Morgan, a fellow member of the Van Der Linde gang. With all gangs there is loyalty and struggles among the array of strong and outspoken personalities. The gamer feels the many emotions and hardships that their character goes through. Gamers found it very easy to empathize with the characters although they are outlaws. The amazing thing about this particular game and Rockstar Games in general is that the gamer can really get into their character and the the world into which they can immerse themselves.
The Gameplay
A great thing about this game is the action; it’s fast-paced, blood-pumping, and genuinely gets your adrenaline levels up. The wide and very open world gives the player endless hours of just exploring. After a long main game mission, which requires a lot of time and strategy, it is nice just to get on your horse and see what the world has to offer. Even just getting to do some side missions is somewhat rewarding. Players truly feel like a cowboy as you get to lasso your enemies and play games like “Five Finger Fillet” at the local tavern. Fight scenes have become immersive as the player gets to chose whether to beat, choke, or spare the opponent.
We at Fuzzable love the game and highly recommend it. We believe that all gamers will love it, whether they are an adrenaline junkie who loves the rush of a good fight scene or someone who loves the experience of open world gaming and beautiful scenery. Red Dead Redemption II is the game for you!
