The Rubik’s Cube is one of the oldest party tricks in the book, but that doesn’t mean it’s no longer cool. It’s easy to spend hours trying to find a solution to that six-sided cube, and whilst it can be good fun to get stuck, it’s always impressive when someone can boss a cube in a minute or two. Turn water into ice
If you’re always the guy (or gal!) that hangs around where the drinks are served, then this is the one for you. With the right strategy, you can turn water into ice in no time at all. The idea behind this is that you’ll cool down bottles of water to the right temperature so that when you pour them out, they’ll naturally come out as ice – even though they’re liquid in the bottle. Climb through paper
Bet your friends that you can climb through a single piece of A4 paper, and watch their faces when you actually do it. Make some horizontal cuts in a piece of paper, but not all the way through, and then cut every other fold to create a snowflake-style garland. Fold a dollar into a t-shirt
Tell your friends that you can turn their dollar note into a cool new tee, and then proceed to fold it as per the guide below. It’s a pretty silly and funny trick that will break the ice and help you to make new friends at virtually any party. And hey, if you do it more than once, you might just earn a sweet buck! You can also make hats, trousers, and sneakers if you put your mind to it – and you’ll soon have a little dollar man that can become the party’s mascot.
Make a human table
This one is a little bit silly, but that’s what parties are all about. Start with four chairs, and arrange them in a square. Get your friends to lie down on them, and put their head in their neighbor’s lap. Then you can slowly by surely remove the chairs, and you’ll have a human table to play games on. Granted, your back will probably start to ache after a couple of minutes, so keep it short and sweet.
