Last Christmas (pun completely intended) we brought you our ultimate modern Christmas playlist. This year, we’ve revamped the playlist by adding a number of songs to round it out and perfect it even more.

The bulk of the playlist remains the same from last year. Classics such as Kelly Clarkson’s “Underneath the Tree” and Mariah Carey’s “All I Want For Christmas” hold their same spots, while newcomers flesh out the list and make it fresh this year. The first newcomer is Lindsey Stirling and Becky G’s “Christmas C’mon.” Before we only had this violinist’s version of “You’re A Mean One, Mr. Grinch,” but this year we’ve added “Christmas C’mon” for that extra sprinkle of pizzazz.
Other newcomers this year include Gwen Stefani’s “White Christmas” and Jessie J’s “Man with the Bag.” Stefani’s cover of a Christmas classic liven up the playlist, and Jessie J debuts in a stunning fashion. Both of their vocals transcend Christmas and leave us craving more.
Colbie Caillat glistens on “Christmas In The Sand,” and Kelly Clarkson kicks things off with a bang with “Run Run Rudolph” this year. Meanwhile, Ellie Goulding finds herself beautifully gracing the Christmas season with “O Holy Night.” Her voice is perfect and we think this song is crucial for the playlist.
Two of the final additions this year hail from the newest Grinch film. Tyler, The Creator’s “You’re a Mean One, Mr. Grinch” and “I Am the Grinch” combine Christmas with R&B flair – and we’re completely obsessed with it. It’s the reason we love “Merry Xmas” by Fetty Wap so much, and it’s now the reason we can’t stop listening to these two Grinch tracks!
Finally, the last new track comes from ROZES. Yesterday, November 30, 2018, this star released two Christmas tracks and we immediately had to add one to the list. So, rounding out our list is “Christmas (Baby Please Come Home).” Her voice is angelic as always on this track, and you will instantly fall in love with both the song and her.
