Only love is spoken here. This is something we have gotten from YouTube. Talking about mental health and mental health awareness is never easy. If you’re in a dark place right now, if you’re through such a phase, or if you feel good and content.
The awareness of this issue is getting more and more public attention, which means celebrities, influencers, or maybe not just a celeb to you, but YOUR FAVOURITE deals with a similar mental health issue as you do!
Mental health issues might get more attention at the moment, but it is not a trend. These issues, the belief of not being good enough, the fact you have to deal with and handle depression while you get your daily life going is NOTHING to look at as a trend.
It is a sensitive theme, but that’s why it is so important to talk about it. There are dark times and it would be a lie to say, they won’t come back. They will, but the most important thing of these moments is how you deal with them.
Some of these pieces of advice are completely standard things! Get up early, take a walk to get the fresh morning air, if possible, get some sunlight, if it’s dull and rainy…Go to your favourite coffee shop and order your no. 1 beverage and read a few chapters of your favourite book, which you (of course) already know inside out.
But that’s the point: You know the chapters where the funny, fluffy/cheesy bits are going to happen, which automatically are going to make you smile.
However, sometimes all these lovely things you read above won’t give you the final push of feeling all content again as quickly as we might like to experience.
Sometimes, yes… Sometimes, YouTube can help. In times of YouTube and all the other social media platforms, there is at least one influencer or YouTuber we all like. Right?
As a fan of Carrie Hope Fletcher and her YouTube channel, formerly known as ‘It’s Way Past My Bedtime’, Fuzzable loves the, let’s call it unofficial motto, she stands up for.
Only Love Is Spoken Here
She made clear, that her Youtube channel is like her house. It is a safe space and should stay a happy place for her followers.
Positivity, make us smile, make us feel better and also not just keeping us, but also keeping her away from online- fights, hate, unnecessary discussions, in which only one comment can cause an anxiety attack.
In the past Carrie spoke the words we might think, we might told our friend or heard back from them, on her channel.
Going through the last few years of her video content, you’ll find her, again and again, speaking up about mental health and how to deal with difficult situations, always in connection with a familiar situation in her own life.
And the content of said videos include messages which Fuzzable believes in.
It’s Okay Not To Be Okay
Give yourself time, when you realize, you’re not in a good place. Allow yourself to feel, see and identify where these negative feelings are coming from.
Maybe, you’ll be able to find a way out of your situation on your own, if not, remember: There is always help!
Reach out to your friends, even to just vent about whatever the issue is, you will feel better immediately.
It’s Okay To Block Someone
You might not be able to stand up and leave the room when a similar situation happens right in front of you, but you are able to protect yourself from online banter you aren’t even a part of.
It is alright to unfollow these people; it is fine to turn your phone off for a while and just care about yourself.
A lot of people seem to forget this simple fact: Behind EACH tweet, there’s a person. Behind each nasty comment, there’s a person.
Online platforms get used as ‘security’ to hide behind, so spreading hate won’t immediately backfire on the author of said posts.
But this kind of safety is an illusion, sooner or later, it is possible to identify these trolls. Online kindness is just as important, if not even more important than it is in real like.
Having to deal with negative comments, instead of simply discuss a disagreement to get to a neutral ending, often turns out to be even more hurtful.
Respect each other, off- or online.
We are all human, we all have our flaws, we all make mistakes and we shouldn’t call each out on them SO publicly.
So, if you’re tried to end this online banter with one of these trolls and it won’t stop, you have every right to block them.
A guilty conscience isn’t needed; your online safety is just as important as it is away from social media.
There is nothing wrong about getting rid of toxic people! It will make you feel better, clear-minded and stronger in the end.
Sometimes everything we try isn’t enough to lead us away from all the negative thoughts we carry with us for too long.
And there is this moment all our guards will shut down and the suicidal thoughts will creep up and nest inside your mind and heart.
You Are NOT Alone
Don’t ever believe these horrible voices in your mind, which think they got a chance to make you feel bad and lonely when all you need is someone who’s going to listen to you.
You are not alone!
There is always a reason to hold onto the positive bits and pieces in your life and when you need help to see your own light shine again, there is always someone you can reach out to.
In case if it’s easier for you to speak about your feelings with a person who’s not too close to your private life, please check the link here to see all contact information which Carrie mentioned in the video above.
Stay strong, beautiful.
Even you have to face a fight, you will make it!
You are a sunshine to your family and friends, don’t forget to feel that way for yourself aswell.
