It’s only been nearly one month since fairytale drama Once Upon a Time ended its seven season run on ABC, but with such a large cast, many of them are already working on new projects. If you’re looking to see where you can next see your favorite fairytale heroes (or villains!), we’ve got you covered.
Jennifer Morrison (Emma Swan)
This leading lady has had no problem booking roles after Once Upon a Time. Two of her upcoming projects include Superfly and The Torture Report. The former is a remake of a classic sci-fi film, while the latter explores the CIA’s change in interrogation techniques after 9/11. Superfly just hit theaters, and The Torture Report is slated for a 2019 release.
Ginnifer Goodwin (Snow White/Mary Margaret)
Fellow leading lady and fellow Ginnifer, this star booked a pilot with ABC. According to Deadline, it was titled Steps. They also had this to say about it:
Goodwin will play Bea, a modern hippie, in tune with her spirit, a great listener and a parent coach, who is making her perhaps the most-equipped to handle three kids with her new husband Paul, her ex-husband (Rothbart), and his ex-wife. She has a fantastic ability to understand others (except the odd time when it fails completely).
Unfortunately, the series was not picked up by ABC during its renewal process for the fall season. However, being the star she is, we have no doubt she will book another series or movie no time!
Josh Dallas (Prince Charming/David Nolan)
While Ginnifer’s show was not picked up, her husband’s was. Titled Manifest, the new NBC-housed series features a plan that mysteriously vanishes and turns up years later, with everyone still alive onboard. Catch the trailer for the new gripping series here:

Rebecca Mader (Zelena Mills/Wicked Witch of the West)
Rebecca Mader’s Zelena always returned to Once Upon a Time due to fan demand and love. However, booking a new show didn’t quite go the same way. Similarly to Ginnifer Goodwin, Rebecca Mader filmed a pilot. Titled Like Family, TVLine had this to say about the NBC pilot:
Mader will co-star as Camille, who is described as someone who will do absolutely anything to stay young and beautiful. She writes a rich lady-type blog, makes rich lady candles, has rich lady friends and rich lady problems.
Despite not being picked up by NBC, Rebecca Mader more than proved her acting chops throughout Once Upon a Time (“Oops!”) and should be able to find another gig easily.
Meghan Ory (Red Riding Hood/Ruby)
A huge fan favorite, Meghan Ory unfortunately made her last appearance during the series’ fifth season. If you want to catch up with this OUAT OG, though, you can find her starring on Hallmark Channel’s Chesapeake Shores. The series will begin its third season later this year, but you can find the trailer for the first season here:
Dania Ramirez (Cinderella/Jacinda Vidrio)
Dania, who joined Once Upon a Time for its seventh and final season, will continue her fairytale career. The actress is set to join CBS’ Tell Me a Story, which, according to Deadline, will reimagine fairytales in a modern society with a much darker and psychological breadth. They continue to say:
Ramirez will play Hannah, a young Army vet who has returned from the war with scars both inside and out. She comes back to New York City in an attempt to rebuild her life, but when her estranged brother calls for help she finds herself in a deadly chase for survival.
With that description, we can’t wait to watch this next step in her career!
Adam Horowitz and Edward Kitsis
The people who started it all. The Once Upon a Time series creators, like Dania Ramirez, will be continuing their storytelling as showrunners for Amazing Stories – an anthology series for Apple. Deadline again wrote about the upcoming series, and they had this scoop to reveal:
Reimagining the anthology from Spielberg, Amazing Stories, from Universal TV and Amblin Television, “will transport the audience to worlds of wonder through the lens of today’s most imaginative filmmakers, directors and writers.” Kitsis and Horowitz will pen the adaptation and will executive produce with Amblin TV’s Spielberg, Darryl Frank and Justin Falvey.
Tiera Skovbye (Robin/Margot)
If you loved Tiera as Margot and Robin on Once Upon a Time, you’re bound to love her as Polly Cooper on Riverdale. She recurs throughout the series, and the series is slated to return for a third season this fall. The first two seasons can be found on Netflix. If you want a taste of her performance, her first scene on the series can be seen here:

Bonus: Robin Givens, who portrayed Eudora (Tiana’s mom), also recurs on Riverdale.
Colin O’Donoghue (Captain Hook/Killian Jones)
While not appearing in person, Colin appears via voice acting in the newest season of Netflix’s Trollhunters that just hit the streaming platform. We have no doubt that this is only the beginning of his post-OUAT career.
Karen David (Princess Jasmine)
This Agrabahn star has recently appeared on Criminal Minds and Timeless. Furthermore, she appears in an upcoming film titled In Heaven’s Hands. The film is in post-production but is slated for a later 2018 release!
With a cast as massive as Once Upon a Time’s, there are bound to be lots of success stories. It also makes it impossible to cover every cast member, so let us know which cast members’ ventures you’re most excited to see play out!
