ICYMI: Jonathan Scott of HGTV’s “Property Brothers” #UnwrapAJaguar

Now that the holidays are over and your wallet — and waistline — are paying the price for your bad decisions, let’s all take a moment to appreciate Jonathan Scott at the #UnwrapAJaguar premiere event, which is currently running through New York City until January 2, 2019.

Jaguar commissioned the star of HGTV’s hit show, Property Brothers, to “wrap” the double-decker bus, and naturally, the Scottish-Canadian chose a wrapping paper festooned with his family’s tartan to cover up the gorgeous E-Pace car beneath the glass.

The E-Pace is the first compact SUV available from Jaguar. According to the official Jaguar site, it gets about 28 miles to the gallon (21 MPG in city traffic) and has a starting MSRP of $38,600.

In an ad for Jaguar, Jonathan Scott said he was interested in working with the company because his father, retired Hollywood stuntman Jim Scott, had an affinity for them.

“My dad used to always talk about how his dream car was a Jaguar,” he said. “One year he gave me a little model Jaguar, a convertible, and I thought it was the coolest thing. There has always been this sense of wonder about the brand since I was a child. I love the fact that Jaguar has this dedication to not only performance but to style, and I’m the same when I’m designing a place, I don’t compromise on style.”

Currently, Jaguar is running a raffle where you can enter to win a Jaguar E-Pace of your own. The contest runs until January 2nd, 2019, and you can enter to win here.

In non-Property Brothers news, Jonathan Scott told Chris Hardwick that he recently entered his first documentary film into the Sundance Festival. Scott, who is an ambassador for Al Gore’s Climate Reality Project, says that the documentary is about climate change.
