Born on this day in 1987…
Fashion designer, entrepreneur and American television personality Kristin Cavallari first found fame back in 2004 after being cast in the MTV mega hit reality series Laguna Beach: The Real Orange County.
Focusing on the everyday lives of a group of teens attending Laguna Beach High School in California, the show was an instant hit with viewers, propelling Kristin and her co-stars to unparalleled levels of international stardom seemingly over night!
Running for three seasons between 2004 – 2006, the trailblazing series is often credited for opening the door for a whole new slew of reality based shows including Keeping Up With The Kardashians, The Hills, The Real Housewives franchise and Jersey Shore.
Since her days in Laguna, Kristin Cavallari has gone on to create quite the career for herself, appearing on our screens in shows such Dancing With The Stars, RuPaul’s Drag Race, and Laguna Beach spin-off The Hills, as well as starring in television series CIS: NY, Veronica Mars and The Middle and movies Fingerprints, Cheerleader Camp and National Lampoon’s Van Wilder: Freshman Year.
Aside from acting, Cavallari has also found success as a television host and fashion correspondent, appearing on red carpet panel shows for E! as well as presenting shows for Yahoo lifestyle where she got to interview none other than the Countess of Sussex, Meghan Markle.
But it is in the world of business where Kristin has found her truly found her passion, creating an empire and a brand all of her own.
From cookbooks, to shoe-lines, to an array of philanthropic work, Cavallari has proved herself to be so much more than a ‘reality tv star’ and in 2017 launched her own lifestyle company Uncommon James.

Feeling there was a gap in the children’s apparel market – Creative Director, Designer and CEO, Kristin Cavallari was inspired to create a collection of clothing tailored to the modern mom and her active kids.
Made with eco-friendly fibers, quality fabrics and hand-drawn patterns, Little James is a brand that offers simple, economical and versatile options for babies, toddlers and growing children.
Inspired by Cavallari’s own three kids, Camden, Jaxon and Saylor James, Kristin poured her heartfelt care into creating a line that would satisfy busy, everyday moms and their little dreamers.
