Builder Brothers

Happy Birthday, @MrSilverScott & @MrDrewScott! 5 Reasons We Love The #BuilderBrothers Authors

The Property Brothers celebrate their birthday on April 28th!

As hard as it is to believe, the first-ever episode of HGTV’s hit show, Property Brothers, aired eight years ago. Since then, Jonathan and Drew Scott — the titular twin brothers in question — have gone on to create a global empire that has spanned across several industries.

One of the biggest sources of our excitement — as book lovers — is the announcement of the upcoming release of the second book in the #builderbrothers series, Better Together. This installment, which features the brothers in cartoon form going on yet another adventure, will hit the shelves on September 10th.

In honor of both the #BuilderBrothers book birthday, and the Scott brothers’ actual birthday, here are five reasons to celebrate these awesome guys.

1. They love their fans.

Jonathan and Drew Scott have fans all over the world — with some of their biggest fans being in the South American country of Brazil! — and they frequently shout them out on their social media accounts. They know that without the support of their fans, they wouldn’t be as successful as they are, and the Scott brothers make evident that they’re forever grateful for the opportunity.

2. They’re environmentally conscious.

Saving the environment is the single-most important issue of the 21st century, and Jonathan Scott — especially — is living up to his promise to “feverishly make the world a better place.” In addition to being a Climate Reality leader (alongside former Vice President Al Gore), and recently being a spokesperson for Jaguar’s electric car, Jonathan just wrapped principal filming on his documentary, Energy Democracy. It’s unclear when this will be released, and on what platform, but we’re sure it’s going to be amazing!

3. They’re activists.

Activism isn’t about grand-standing for press attention — it’s about doing the right thing for the sake of doing the right thing. Both Jonathan and Drew Scott are devoted activists, frequently giving their time and their resources to important causes, and often not making the press aware of it until well after their job is complete.

4. They’re smart businessmen.

Being a celebrity is great — but there are far too many stories of celebrities who “have it all” only to lose it after a few too many nasty addictions and high-rolling nights in Atlantic City. But that won’t ever happen with the Scott brothers, who are just as savvy about their business as they are about their image. They eschew messy situations and drama, and keep their names out of the gossip pages, choosing instead to focus their energy on developing their brand, which includes the Scott Living home line, the Casaza brand, and serving as executive producers on TLC’s hit design show, Nate and Jeremiah by Design. In a world of celebrities who seem all-too-insistent on being “mixxy,” Jonathan and Drew Scott’s clean-cut attitude is a breath of fresh air.

5. They’re kind.

Above all else, kindness matters. And, every Monday, Jonathan Scott likes to remind his fanbase of that simple to say — but oh-so-difficult for some folks to do — concept with his #MondayMotivation posts. That message of kindness above all makes these guys truly terrific.

From all of us here at @Fuzzable, we wish the #BuilderBrothers Jonathan and Drew Scott a very happy birthday, and may you have a million more!
