Welcome to the Fuzzmas Advent Awards, a series running every day throughout December celebrating all our favourite things from 2018. Today we’re counting down the top 5 of our favorite tech launches from this year.
A lot of great technology has been released throughout the year, but we’ve rounded up a couple of our favorites. These include video games, electronic devices, and other random bits. Without further ado, here are five of our favorite tech launches from the year.
5. Spider-Man
With Marvel’s massive success and brand recognition looming this year, this Playstation 4 game was no surprise when it was announced and released. It didn’t disappoint, either, as it shone beautifully after release. The graphics are beautiful, and playing as such an iconic character has left fans overjoyed.
4. Nintendo Switch Online

While not a physical product, the launch of Nintendo Switch Online was a large one for the video game community. Some hate it due to Nintendo never requiring a subscription service for online access before, but small payments will surely allow for better maintenance and this online service will allow for lots of fun interconnectivity between Nintendo fans.
3. Apple’s iPhone XR/XS and iPad Pro
Apple showcases new products each and every year, and 2018 was no different. This tech giant released the new iPhone XR and iPhone XS, on top of new iPads and MacBooks. These new updates and products, in addition to being visually stunning, offer better ways to multitask, group FaceTimeing, better cameras, and overall increases in usability. Whether you’re a diehard Apple fan or just someone looking for a new phone, we suggest checking these out!
2. Pokemon: Let’s Go, Pikachu! and Let’s Go, Eevee!
The long awaited crossover between Pokemon Go! and the main series Pokemon games have only just released a few weeks ago in November, but they’re easily some of the best games to release this year. They’re astonishingly beautiful, and they switch up the mechanics just enough to make the game fresh and new while still being Pokemon at heart.
1. Huawei P20 Pro
When discussing tech launches with our lovely team at Fuzzable, one person immediately suggested this phone – and after looking into it, I see why! This Huawei P20 Pro phone is very quickly becoming known for its excellent photo-taking capabilities, and in today’s climate, this is a nice tool to have on hand at all times. This phone can do everything any other smart phone can, but its cameras make it a true standout.
