I am writing this blog post on September 20th at 7 PM, which is not great. I’m usually much more with it, but these past few weeks have been some of the most hectic of my life. After graduating from college, I got a full-time job for the first time in late August. And it’s been the greatest thing ever to fulfill my dreams.
One of the biggest struggles I had post-college was trying to find a job. It is so difficult to get a position in your field that you’d enjoy. There were multiple points where I thought I should just give up and work at Starbucks. But, the right opportunity came along, and I am so thrilled to have gotten it.
I have been floating on cloud nine ever since. It is an incredible feeling to see all your dreams and goals coming true. All of my hard work paid off. All those late nights and half-assed essays all culminated in me getting to work in my field in a job that I absolutely love.
So, let this serve as a reminder to you. As cliche as it sounds, follow your dreams. I am happier than I ever could have imagined. Remember that you deserve the world. You shouldn’t settle for anything less.
