Fuzzable Blogs: April 21 – Battling Burnout

Here we are, back at it again with the blog posts. Today I wanted to talk a bit about battling burnout.

Battling Burnout

As this spring semester wanes, so does my motivation to do anything besides watch Netflix and eat fries. Unfortunately, my motivation for both of those activities has skyrocketed. It seems like every time the spring semester rolls around, I start off okay, and eventually fade into a ball of stress and procrastination.

It’s something about working so hard for eight straight months that by April, all motivation has been lost. I’m lucky that I work the best under deadline (aka I procrastinated too much and now have no time to do anything). At this point there is a small ray of light at the end of the tunnel in the fact that this semester is almost done. Only three weeks left.

I’m not entirely sure what the point of all this was. I unfortunately have no magical cure-all for end of semester burnout. I’d recommend to-do lists and small rewards. I get a ridiculous amount of satisfaction checking everything off. I also get a lot of satisfaction from eating some delicious fries or chocolate after finishing an assignment.

So, go forth. Hopefully your end of semester battle with burnout will be easier than mine.
