Chloé Caroline is a singer and songwriter hailing from Southern California who’s here with a brand new music video for her latest single ‘Messy’ that is premiering exclusively today on Fuzzable!
Chloé Caroline’s unique, melancholic vocal style and reflective lyrics helped her define a “New SoCal Sound” combining old school influences with fresh, organic, Indie-pop twist which has caught the attention of industry heavy hitters. Chloé’s latest offering comes in the form of the Pop infused ‘Messy’ which was released earlier this month on June 7th, ahead of her forthcoming residences in Las Vegas and Los Angeles, and a string of festival slots throughout the Summer months in North America.
The single “Messy” is about celebrating life against all of its-well, messiness. With its biting lyrical commentary, the artist touches on a range of issues from the effects of social media on the darker subject of opioid addiction. With a spoken word-esque verse delivery, the song is blunt and honest but there remain a hopeful/upbeat tone thanks to the signature guitar riff and the resolving hook.
Speaking about the uplifting ‘Messy’, Chloé Caroline says: “All of our lives are messy in their own ways–the ups and downs of life are what mold our stories. It’s easy in a world with so much noise to get bogged down with comparison and expectations. This song is meant to unify people through our messiness and celebrate the strength it takes to keep moving forward despite the struggles.”
Directed and shot by up and comer Mary Omel in Chloé’s hometown of Manhattan Beach, the “Messy” video follows Chloe’s days working at a car wash where everyone’s life seemed better than hers. It’s meant to portray daily grind that we all face with a sassy positive attitude and to make the best of what life has to offer.
