Fuzzable blogs: February 14th- Dear 15 Year Old Me

To the 15 year old me,

  1.  Life isn’t always going to turn out how you expected it.
  2. You won’t finish school with amazing grades like you hoped would happen and that’s okay- your grades don’t define you.
  3. You’re going to fail your maths GCSE many times but you will pass eventually.
  4. Go to the theatre lots, you love it and you know it.
  5. Life isn’t like a movie it’s not always going to be okay.
  6.  That person you thought you could trust with everything (their name beginning with D) don’t trust them. They will throw it back in your face and it will hurt lots, so save yourself that pain.
  7. Your friends will change.
  8. Stop dying your hair red, it wreaks your hair and costs a fortune to get back to a ‘normal’ colour.
  9. Make the most of your school holidays, see your friends, especially those you don’t see very often.
  10. Continue writing your diary it’s funny to read, especially reading the one from when you were 12 and were convinced you were in love with someone who didn’t know you existed.
  11. That person who didn’t know you existed isn’t really worth the time.
  12. The purples jeans you thought were cool are not. Stop wearing them right now.
  13.  Do that school production that you want to do, you’ll enjoy it so much I promise.
  14. So it turns out the job you say you never want to do is actually going to be the job you do when you’re 18 and you’re loving it.
  15. You’re going to go through some crap but it’s going to be okay.
  16. Whatever you feel like at the age of 17 and the majority of 18 is temporary, it will feel like it’s never ending and you’ll want, and try, to give up but hang in there.
  17. In case you forgot your friends care about you more than you can imagine, don’t be an idiot.
  18. It’s okay to miss someone and be jealous of people who see them everyday, it’s normal.
  19. You’re going to have to overcome your fear of heights, real and metaphorical ones.
  20. Do what makes you happy, stop doing things to make others happy, you need to remember to make yourself happy to.
  21. Tell the people you love that you love them, you already regret not telling someone- don’t make it again.
  22. Stop thinking you need to go to straight to university, you don’t need to.
  23. Embrace your weirdness.
  24. It’s okay to be different.
  25. If you want to do something then do it, don’t let someone else stop you.
